my name is Zion, and I’m from Germany. I’ve been working in electronics repair for many years, specializing in smartphone, tablet, laptop, and game console repairs – including advanced microsoldering and PCB-level work. I run a repair business called Ihre-Handywerkstatt.de, where we handle everything from common component swaps to board-level diagnostics and rework.

I joined BadCaps because I’m always looking to learn more about complex board repairs, share my own experiences, and exchange knowledge with like-minded tech enthusiasts. My main interests include:

• Microsoldering and component-level troubleshooting
• Power management and charging circuits
• Laptop and console motherboard repairs
• Battery pack diagnostics and refurbishment (especially e-bike batteries)

Hi i‘m Oliver. I recently got a bad rx 6800 and since i like to repair stuff i thought i give it a try.
Now after reading a lot in forums, watching many youtube videos on gpu repairs and try to figure out what a pcb layout is, buying a multimeter and soldering iron, i stumbled in this forum and hope to find further inputs .

Hi i am just a tinkerer like most of the people here.

I started with an Apple ii E and i am currently on 14900k with a 5090 as my main Rig.

Have a 9700x with 3080 as a second PC and also various Dell workstations, industrial mini pc's & SBC's performing different tasks.

Hello, I’m literally just trying to find a specific micro chip for a motherboard on my predator Helios 300, I don really dabble with soldering but I was intrigued on why it dies so sudden one day so I dug deep and found my short, and now I will be able to finally fix it after it being out of commission for over a year lol
