Hey everyone,
Figured I'd jump in and introduce myself. I go by Lostcaphat here.
I've loved repairing electronics ever since I can remember; anything broken around the house usually ended up on my desk (or the floor) in pieces while I tried to figure out how it worked. That habit never really left; these days I'm still diving into boards, trying to bring dead tech back to life.
Got properly into repairs after frying a motherboard in the most spectacular way possible... figured if I'm going to break stuff, might as well learn how to fix it too. 😅
I'm also big into RC cars always loved tuning, breaking, and fixing little machines that go way too fast for their own good. Someday I'll have more running than broken, maybe.
Mostly learning as I go, sometimes the hard way. Tools are nothing fancy: a solid soldering iron, a cheap hot air station, and a bunch of parts bins that somehow never have the exact part I need.
Not much else, just happy to be somewhere people still appreciate keeping old gear alive instead of tossing it out. Looking forward to swapping stories, picking up some better habits, and probably posting a few "what did I just do?" moments along the way.
Nice to be here,
Lostcaphat
