Hey All.
Hardware geek here. I'm a software dev but love PC HW.
Basically just joining because I have a g14 laptop that i've started using again and the battery life sucks so I thought I'd search if there is a way to completely cut-off power to the dgpu because I don't use it anyway. I can't believe this laptops is very very far off from an on 7th gen xps 15 I had a while ago.
Anyway,, Hi!

Hi to you all. I am Marko , I'm from Montenegro and I love fixing stuff. Right now I broke my HP pavilion 15 DK board by hitting mouse dongle connected to USB port and on the weakest spot motherboard broke, so I would try to fix this board but power button is in layers together with HDMI port an one usb all in 1.5cm width. Good luck to me.

Hello I am Motherboardnovice. I started doing electronics repair a few years ago but I am just now getting to the motherboard resolutions. This stuff seems to be very complex and difficult to grasp. My objective here is to gain information from “seasoned” veterans and others who just know more than me (which is not much). Happy to be here to begin my journey of learning this uncommon skill. Can't wait to get to talking to many of you on this forum and learn as much as I can!

Hi everyone,
I'm Robert, I've been into electronics and computers since my teenage years and have recently taken my DIY repair game to a more serious level. I've got a soft spot for diagnosing and fixing laptops, motherboards, and audio equipment—especially when it comes to swapping out suspect capacitors or dealing with power rail issues.
I've got a decent home setup including a Rigol DS2102A scope, OWON XDM2041 multimeter, CH341A programmer, Yihua tweezers, a hot air station (Atten ST-862D), and an adjustable bench PSU (Korad KD3005D). I enjoy diving deep into schematics and tracing problems down to component level, so this forum feels like the perfect place to connect with like-minded folks.
Also an audiophile at heart—I run Tannoy Revolution XT 6Fs through a Denafrips Enyo DAC and a vintage Pioneer Spec 4 amp. Always happy to chat about sound gear, too.
Looking forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge here and hopefully contributing where I can. Thanks for having me!
Cheers,
Robert
