    Hi everyone,

I’m Marcin, and I’m excited to be part of this forum! I’ve always been passionate about electronics, from circuit design to microcontrollers and DIY projects. Whether it's working with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or designing custom PCBs, I love experimenting and learning new things.

I joined this community to exchange knowledge, get advice, and hopefully contribute where I can. Looking forward to great discussions and connecting with like-minded people!

    See you around!

My Intro...have been running a Mom & Pop (well minus the Mom) computer repair business out of home for nearly 20 years. During that time I only focused on Windows based software & hardware repairs. However, over the years, I have collected more than 30 "dead" laptops that all shared a common failure...no power due to some failure on the motherboard. I had no idea that motherboards could possibly be repaired until I started watching some youtube videos. I became fascinated with the prospect of potentially expanding my business services into motherboard level repairs. Perhaps it was fate (or more likely my pack rat mentality) that I held onto all of these dead laptops. I now have an amble selection of mobos to learn on as well as to use as donor boards.

Howdy! Glad I stumbled into this forum! This is my first time joining something like this, so bear with me on this intro.

I've been able to fix almost anything I get my hands on, cars, PCs, robots, and PLCs, however, the almost comes down to board level repairs. Whether it's a laptop, or a Pi SBC, or an HMI, or a PCM for a car, I've always had to scrap them or give them away due to not having the tools and skills to repair these boards. Well, no more...

Armed with a meter, a new hot air soldering iron, and this forum, I'll (hopefully) be able to reflow, repair, and modify what things I already have. 1980's Bosch fuel injection computers, old iPods with burnt amplifiers, or Xboxes with bad caps (hey I said it rofl), I want to learn to document, diagnose and repair it all. It would preserve the stuff I already own, cut down on the stuff I have to buy, and it's just plain cool. C'mon, melting stuff together to run electricity through it, and it NOT release the magic smoke? Absolutely wild. Haha.

Looking forward to trudging sifting some info and tutorial threads. I'll see y'all in the forums!
