Hello everybody!
I'm a new member here, I've already gotten a lot of help here on this forum. My name is Israel, I'm 29 years old, Brazilian and my wife and I are expecting our first child. I've been working in the notebook maintenance area for 7 years and I'm getting some servers as well. I took a technical course in electronics, but practically everything I know I learned on my own in forums and doing tests. My knowledge of electronics isn't great, but I can solve things that experienced technicians here in my region can't. I hope I can give some help to some professional colleagues at some point!
Hugs to everyone!Comment

Hello everyone, I am from China. I have a lot of ThinkPad laptops on hand. I like to study computer technology. I have used SSD in the T490 WWAN slot by modifying the BIOS. For details, see the link: https://www.thinkpad.com.cn/thread-1968103-1-1.htmlComment

Names SKYTEX
30 - Birthday 10 January 1999
Married, we have 2 children - not kids, kids are baby goats, I have children.
MO:
I am a firmware/software engineering technician, I test embedded firmware, it is somewhat similar to the bios you find on your motherboard. Also test software, both leaning towards hardware side.
Firmware, software, hardware, cover all 3 pretty much... build test fixtures for Firmware engineers, compose and run functional tests.
I graduated from college in Canada with a Diploma in Industrial Electronics and Process Control. In the USA it is the equivalent of an Associated Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. I'm no BEE or MEE but I get by with what I know, and someone liked what I knew enough to move me to the USA and sponsor me for a greencard... Not sure what 10 years of experience adds to my credentials, but thats how long I've been doing this.

My name is Wanderson
I have been working with computers for 16 years and 10 years ago I started working in electronics. I liked it so much that I never stopped. I am very hungry for knowledge and every day I try to learn even more. I came to this forum through Google searches. I have to thank the creators because this forum has helped me a lot. My story with computers was more about being curious and learning things easily. I have always been good at learning. I see someone doing something once and that's it. That is already engraved in my mind. I learned to solve PC problems in an internet café by observing the technicians who went there. After a while, I started fixing PCs that were malfunctioning and the owner of the internet café, who also owned the technical support, hired me when I was only 15 years old. As for electronics, it was because my PC's motherboard broke and at the time it was very expensive to buy a new one, so I started studying the subject and with that I learned and fell in love with the area and I am still working in it today.Comment

Hello everyone,
I'm 58, born in June 1966 (yes 6/66 😂) , (kind of) moved from the UK to the Philippines about 10 months ago. Looking for some help in mobile and laptop repair at board level.
I had a computer shop from 2002 - 2011 in North Wales, mainly doing everything apart from advanced component level fault finding ... I put many systems together, upgrades from 386/486 to more modern AMD Phenoms and Intel Pentium 4's at the time.
Previously started the hobby with a ZX81 (with a 48K ram pack?), Spectrum 48K with rubber keys and then the Amiga 500 followed by an Amiga 4000/030 , an amazing machine for it's time.
The Amiga, and many peripherals (External USR 56K modem) was blasted by a lightning strike which led me to move to the "dark side" and buy a custom made PC ... I think it was an Intel P90 with an 850MB HDD ... amazing how things have moved on since then ... and of cause it came with Windows 95.
I still miss to this day the amazing demos that were circulating between the various "crews" on the Amiga, with really amazing graphics and sound for the time, it was an amazing time while it lasted.
So far I've done a fair few screen and usb socket replacements but i'm amassing quite a large collection of board repairs, so would like to be able to resurrect as many of these as possible ... mostly chinese makes but also a few iphones and samsungs worth saving.
Thank you!Comment
