Been writing programs from way back when the Sinclair Spectrum was out. Wrote my first game in machine code for Commodore 64 when I was 13 years old. Pretty much spent the whole time since involved in PC hardware, networking, CCTV, embedded systems, and now my focus on Cyber security.

Hi Everyone
I just started my hobby adventure with fixing electronic devices. Maybe I dont know much yet but I'm willing to learn and help with what I can. My english isn't that bad (I hope so). Mostly I'm willing to learn about laptops and mobile devices so i could buy something and fix it for me, family or closest friends. I know something about standard issues such as problems with Windows systems, some networking, basic security, basic troubleshooting with working devices and replacing basic parts but I would like to practice with soldered elements so I could save some money on servicing mu stuff and hopefully someday I could make something on my own
Thanks all for reading this and I hope that we will get along with each otherComment

Hi all, I've just joined to seek help on things I know little about which is mainly programming. My first computer was an Amiga 500. It was a toss up between that or the Atari ST which had MIDI built in, so I went with the Amiga and ended up having to buy an additional module for MIDI control.Used it just for MIDI sync with my outboard gear. I now have a HP Z600 running 2 cpu's with a total of 12 cores! I all but done away with my gear and mainly do everything in the box. My daily is a Samsung R510 laptop which is coming up to 17 years old but still works well al be it a little slow.Comment

Hi all, I work in fiber optics we have about 150 surface pros ranging from 5-11 most are plus's. I was the lucky one chosen to replace screens and general issues like that. I have replaced several in my time but now all of a sudden I am having an issue with one that they want saved so I am reaching out grasping for straws to help. Thanks in advance if someone is willing to help!Comment

Well, I'l follow the leader lol. I'm a student of the master. I had some computer experience back in '86. It was all DOS. Not to long ago, I thought it was something just to do minor things like reformat and replacing drives. I'm learning hardware mainly. Though I am dabbling in site building.
Personal about me, I'm a nurse. Doing some serious research on becoming a PRN/midwife. Yes some would say it's foolish to go back to school now, but with "someones" support I will be in the top of my class. I hope to minor in some type of technology. I love to read, ride mtn bikes and want to learn to fly.
My age, thirty-something, this monday I might add.Comment

Hello,
Long time lurker and fellow electronics engineer from Western Australia.
My jobs range from full custom HVAC circuit design and wiring diagrams (my biggest so far spanning 17 A3 pages or 6.8 metres of schematic (!)) to PCB design with several of my designs actively being used in the field. Specialise in AVR and ESP for the moment.
I also design aftermarket car parts being a bit of a Solidworks veteran - some of those so inclined and local to Australia may recognise some of my designs out on the road.
Here to gain knowledge, tinker and provide knowledge of my own.Comment

Hi,
Newbie here, all I learned about electronics were from high school? Now I'm middle aged and started to mess around with some home audio system. I was so shocked by the level of expertise here when I searched on some receiver issues, hats off and ready to learn.
Best!
