my name is Markus, 38 years old, licensed to solder.

My dad taught me how to solder as a child, but then I lost interest in electronics except building PCs. Then, in 2006 I started training as a technician in first level support. After that and with a bit of luck, I landed a job as a field service technician. Our company focuses on doing safety checks on medical devices. Since that mostly involves routine work, my interest in electronics was rekindled. These days, I do repairs for friends and family, micro-soldering, and DIY projects as a hobby.

New to repair, I'm looking to learn from all of you and maybe be able to throw less stuff away than I already have, I've had bent pins of CPU and was lucky enough to save the CPU despite having one pin fall (probably a ground one).

I've been following Louis Rossmann and lately I've been running into more and more hardware issues so I would like to get better at soldering and electronic repairs.
