Hello!
I have a Sony Bravia(the specific model is in the title) that is exhibiting the following behaviors:
- Color inversion on the whole screen(or rather it has trouble displaying gray and black correctly)
- Static-like flickering on the dark parts of an image(it will flicker between black and white on some dark parts of an image)
- Bad image detail/sharpness
These issues switch between each other from time to time.
After consulting some online resources and the LCD TV troubleshooting guide I found on this forum, I believe I am looking at a bad TCon board, or rather, the gamma chip on it(AS15-HF).
Before ordering a replacement chip or the whole board altogether I wanted to hear the opinion of someone with more experience.
Is my assumption that the TCon is at fault for these behaviors? Or could it be something else entirely?
