    Samsung 65q900 main board bn41-02679b

    Hello.
    Problem, power on then off in 3 sec or something like this.
    Standby light is on.

    From Power supply to main board 13v is present.
    Standby voltage. 3.3v 5v 1.8v.
    13v drops down to 12v after diode. then it disappears.
    Big aluminum plate at the back of the board prevents access to follow up 12v line.
    Lots of shorts near cpu area. CPU Inductors 7 ohms.
    CPU mosfets are CSD95378BQ5M
    PWM ic is TPS40428 VDD is dead short no 12v standby. Aluminum plate at the back prevents future checks.

    Any advice on how to figure out whats causing that 12v line short?

      Update.
      Above Left CPU inductor one cap was shorted.

      Restored 12v standby rail to healty 2k rezistance, but still dont have voltage.

              Thanks for your suggestions.
              I already did that, found shorted cap on 12v line for cpu mosfets.
              Resistance is restored on this line, but still no voltage.

              The good news: customer agreed to get replacement board. So when I get it, I will document the difference For future references. Also Bios dump can be performed if needed.

              Btw, this is a serious board. The similarities To pc or laptop board is striking.
              It has the one could guess, ram cpu gpu.
              Power rails similar to laptops. 5v 3.3v 1.8v 0.8v 1.1v etc... no wonder this TV cost 3k £

                      It is TV main board. But similarities to laptop main board is clear.


                      I was wondering if there is a possibility of two separate 12v rails on the board.?
                      or the rail itself have fuse halfway, and maybe the fuse is burned after capacitor shorted.

                          Update.
                          The board is really complicated.
                          Many rails low resistance. CPU rail 5-7 Ohms.

                          Few other rails 20 Ohms etc......

                          Board has few separate 12v rails. Ultimately, I was unable to fix this board.

                          Got a replacement board. Now replacement board wasn't powering on at the beginning, but it booted up once all connections were plugged in.

                          So I guess it checks for back light before powering on.

                              I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).







                              🧩 Problem Summary:
                              • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                              • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.

                              When plugged in it will click and cycle the BL on and off, no pic and does not respond to remote. When I disconnect the cable from the PS board to the main board and then plug it in the BL will come on and stay on. There are only two boards in this set, the LVDS cables from the panel driver boards connect directly to the main board. Since the BL comes on and stays on I'm thinking the PS board is ok and the problem is on the main board. Should I order another main board or do I need to do more testing? thanks, Lee

                              Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

                              Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
                              Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                              CN6401
                              Pin 01 NC
                              Pin 02 NC
                              Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                              Pin 04 "N/C"
                              Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                              Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                              Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

                              Short answer: replace main board and power board
                              Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                              Long answer:

                              TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....
