You need a digital (toslink) to analog converter.

Re: lg 55un73006 tv connection with denon amplifier

thank you very much sir, the communication will be via optical fiber, preferably between the TV and the converter and from the output of the converter to the amplifier, right?
with the device of the following address can I do it using an hdmi cable and the output of the converter to the aux in input of the amplifier?

On the first question - Yes.
This is if the TV has an HDMI OUT, then it is possible, but I have not seen such.

The avr-1705 has an optical input, the tv has an optical output, all you need is an optical cable between them.

Yes, then there is no problem to connect TV to Denon, only an optical cable is used.

.e. the only thing that is needed is an optical fiber for connecting a TV to an amplifier of suitable length and diameter
and after the TV settings I choose external speakers right?

I don't think you have to choose external, at least with my old avr, optical toslink works in conjunction with tv speakers or I can just turn the tv speakers down or mute or use both.

well, in a few words, I get an optical fiber for audio transmission and I don't need to make any special settings on the TV

The last thing I want to ask is the photo cable suitable for my situation?
I translate the description given to its characteristics
                    Description

The optical Toslink cable is ideal for enjoying the best sound quality in your home cinema. Compared to conventional copper cables, Toslink signals are transmitted optically over optical fibers and are therefore completely protected from electrical or magnetic interference.
                    Connection 1: 1x Toslink male.
                    Connection 2: 1x Toslink male.
                    Black color.
                    Cable length: 1.5 m
in addition to the amplifier I already use the input via rca from the cd and it works without any problem when I connect the TV via the optical fiber to the amplifier I will connect it to the optical 1 or optical 2 input channel and then I have to select from the front how to select the cd to listen from optical channel 1 or 2?

yep, if your watching tv, you will set it, it may say tv/opt 1 or something very similar, to get the sound from tv to your speakers that are connected to your receiver. there's a little video on how things work with a receiver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n14KE4rgDXY

yes that one will work, as long as the tv and receiver both have the toslink inputs so you can connect it, looks like your receiver has 2 of them so thats good, if you have the same input on tv, don't have to have 2 on tv one is fine, just plug one end to tv and one end to opt 1 or 2, and choose setting, it will work for sound from tv to receiver speakers.

Hi, I have a Denon AVR-X3600H I'm trying to repair. I have no electronics repair experience but I have a multimeter, service manual and a will to fix it (https://device.report/m/d5de8c00e617...f63147aba9.pdf)

Everything seems to work except for no sound even through the pre outs. However I will get sound using Zone 2 pre outs.

Only digital symptom I can tell is it will soft lock when in the Speakers/Test Tone menu and be unable to adjust +/- db during the test tone.

I've followed the trouble shooting guide, audio check...

My childhood best friend was killed about 9 years ago. His parents are finally letting go of his things, and they offered me his Polk RTi100 tower speakers. The Polk RTi100 towers are one of a handful of designs from the early 2000s that is a full range 3-way tower with a built-in self-powered subwoofer. This is accomplished with a plate amp integrated into the speaker input panel.

I think they used them for a while, but they've been sitting for at least a few years now. After about 40 hours of driving to their house and back (both they and I have moved in the last 9 years) I got...

The NB670 NB670GQ is a fully integrated high frequency synchronous rectified step-down switch mode converter with 3.3V fixed output voltage. It offers very compact solution to achieve 6A continuous output current and 9A peak output current over a wide input supply range with excellent load and line regulation. The NB670 operates at high efficiency over a wide output current load range. Constant-On-Time (COT) control mode provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.

I'm trying to fix this Canopus converter so that I can convert lots of old VHS cassettes. The problem is that it turns on for a split (and I mean split!) second, the fan jerks and then.. nothing. I've checked the power brick works. I've opened up the converter itself and been testing for shorts.

The image attached shows the on/off switch (which I've checked works) to the left of the yellow socket. Below the yellow socket is a green block marked 26 with a strange symbol at the front. Putting my probes either end of this block, on the silver parts, gives an open short...

How to test Subwoofer Amplifier with only a multimeter
                                  by jinu_j
                                  Hi Folks

Need some advice on how to test a subwoofer amplifier if i have access to only a multimeter.

                                  Problem
I have a Boston Acoustics active Subwoofer (soundware S). Its rated output is 200W. But the output i am getting is very low i can barely hear/feel it even if put the gain at max. I replaced all the capacitors in the Subwoofer amplifier but still no change.

Is there anyway to test this without getting an oscilloscope/Function generator to see if the fault is with amplifier, driver or the source??

                                  Any advice would be appreciated...
