    TCL 50UP120 backlight short

    Backlight flashes briefly when turned on. PSU squeals briefly. Flash light test shows TV is running and with sound.

    Found a short on + on 1 of the 2 LED strings at the PCU connector. Traced it down to where the wire enters the panel under the plastic blocks that mounts the leges. Wires routing was incorrect and got got smashed by the plastic block.

    Attached a pic of it moved to the proper valley to avoid getting smashed. Close up will show the wires got smashed when it was up on the plateau where the blocks mounts flush. Had to separate the + - wire with a tweezer as it was smashed up pretty good. Will splice in new wire for future safety.

      hello everyone , working zebronics power suply 450 watts , 5v ,3.3v givin short to ground black wire, also in circuit at output, resistor was charred but shows right values , after removing resistors 39ohms, 51 ohms, there was no short , no continuity beeps with ground , but after replacing new resistors (now i am not switching it on) ,again short still exists . when i put bigger ohm resistor like 100k ohm , no short beeping sound comes , lower ohm resistor gives continuity beeps ,other big ones donest , as its a working psu , i am confused what to remove now or how to go further now .

      I'm looking for a extreme high current short killer solution for a reasonable cost.

      I have an LGA1700 motherboard (ASUS PRIME Z790-P WiFi) where I exchanged the LGA socket already 3 times, and every time after the socket exchange I get a short of power supply lines VCORE (V variable) and VCCIN_AUX (1.8V).

      MacBook Pro 14" A2442 Short on PPBUS_AON but no short present when injecting voltage!

      I check PPBUS_AON and there is a short present on the line, the computer shows a short when testing for short to ground, so when I inject voltage into the line, I get 0AMPS so no short is showing up. I have replaced a blown cap on this board that exploded and tested for the short and it is now removed. Any suggestions? I tested voltage at the line when the fuses are connected and I am getting 1.2 Volts at the line.

      I have a laptop HP Victus 15-fb with motherboard DAG3PRMB8D0, CPU Ryzen 7535HS, and GPU RTX 2050. The laptop has a power issue: it does not turn on at all, and there is no light on the DC jack.
