    Finlux 50F8075-T flicker

Have a regular flicker across the full panel on any source per the video here: https://youtu.be/dx0vBQTk2VE

Is it likely to be the T-Con, PSU or something else?

    Many thanks in advance, Darren.

I would say t-con or panel issue
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Ah, I didn't look at the video, yes I think you are right Dskall, maybe check the little ceramic caps on the panel driver board, tape cut-off method may work.

something to try whenever you have this double image thing is lighten the load, turn off all the video enhancement crap, ambient light if equipped and all that other crap, turn down the backlights, NOT brightness and see if the display changes any.

                Re: Finlux 50F8075-T flicker

Great news - fixed! Issue isolated to left side of screen by disconnecting t-con ribbons. Used tape cut-off as suggested by nomoresonys to block clocks and all is good ;o)

Also noticed a bad cap on the PSU so will replace as preventative measure.

                Thanks guys.

Glad to hear it, you don't suppose that bad cap was causing the whole problem?

Could be I guess, Caps should be here Saturday so I'll try and report back. Either way I'm a happy fella!

                      Re: Finlux 50F8075-T flicker

Replacing CAPs had no effect on flicker.

Thinking of replacing t-con board as I can get one for £10. Board is an LG part: LC500DUE-SFR1 per photo.

Are they model specific? Some listings show for 42" TV, 50" TV, etc with usual caveats that part will only work on that TV.

                      thanks,

                      Darren.

If blocking lines fixed the problem, then you have a panel problem not a t-con problem.

If you now have a good picture, you have fixed the problem.

Samsung flicker - BN44-00932T board or else?

I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

                                UN65TU7000 strobing / flicker
                                by howardc64
Good picture but has ~200Hz+ faint flicker/strobing over entire screen. Also has a single green vertical line. Can mask out t-con signals (2pins) to stop flicker/strobing but 1/12 of screen will be all colorful vertical lines (single green vertical line is in this section)

Since can mask t-con signal to disable part of the screen and stop flicker/strobing. Obviously not backlight.

Panel has 4x driver boards each responsible for 1/4 of the screen. 3 tabs on each board. Each tab responsible for 1/12 of the screen. the 2 outer most tabs has additional horizontal gate control...

                                Finlux 65-FUC-8060 firmware request (Vestel 17MB130S 23473048 VES650QNTS-2D-U11)

                                Hi,
Got a Finlux 65-FUC-8060 TV that doesn't turn on, 5V standby present from PSU, 3.3V on mainboard present, button signal gets pulled low when pressed, but mainboard never sends signal to PSU to turn main rails on.
I suspect corrupt firmware but I haven't been able to find anything for this TV.
                                TV model: Finlux 65-FUC-8060
                                Mainboard: Vestel 17MB130S 23473048
                                Panel: VES650QNTS-2D-U11

At the very least looking for a firmware that can make it turn on to confirm the problem, and hopefully a firmware that's compatible with the panel.

                                Hello,

Asus rog strix scar 17 G733QR
My Asus laptop started flickering from time to time and more and more in last months. First the screen was going black but sometimes if I moved the screen it would work again, other times I needed to plug/unplug the laptop or close and open the lid to make it work again.

In last days I see that if I move the laptop lid to about 45 degrees it will flicker or get white or black screen(it's random, sometimes white sometimes flickers etc). I was trying to troubleshoot it myself but seems like it's either the cable or the display....

                                [PART 1 OF 2]

Ever gotten a CRT monitor and noticed an irritating flicker?

Here's how to get rid of it (or at least make it far less annoying).

                                Method 1: Increase Refresh Rate
                                1) Get to your display settings. This varies from OS to OS.
For Windows (95 to 2000, XP to 7 with Icons Mode, XP to 7 with Classic Start Menu
                                (NOT Classic Start))
                                1) Open the Start Menu
(For 95 to 2000 and XP to 7 with Classic Start Menu)
Click "All Programs", then "Accessories", then "Control...
