Any update on this? I am having the same problem. Few people are selling LCD Tab BIOS chip. Is this a known failure on these boards? has anyone tried replacing the main board?

Just recently fixed a 50au8000 with the tape method but with the the next tv exactly the same model the tape method would not work so just as I was giving up I cut the vgh,ck1,ck8 and the tv came back to life
although the screen is noticeable that it's still faulty it works at least

Did you cut lines on both side of panel ? I am considering to do this on the right side (left side of display):
