Hello all. I would like some help on installing a firmware on tv..
4 days ago i changed a channel and the image became complete blue and the tv unresponsive. No matter what i did ( like unplugging the power , press the power button for minutes etc etc nothing helped) Then i had an idea to flash it via usb. The brand is very uncommon (smarttech) so i had hard time finding the right firmware. i ended downloading 2 just in case. I flashed the first one with usb and pressing the power button like 5 times. The installation was successful and tv worked ok with some little problems that right now i wouldn't care....
back then i wasn't happy with those issues so i flashed the other file also.....
installation ended with a message that i didn't even remember because i was shocked. i remember something like firmware failure or something like that.. As i saw later i downloaded slightly different firmware. Then i unpluged the tv and till now it won't open. Now when i plug the power, the red light comes on and that's it (just a red light like when it's in standby mode). I will not power on no matter what.
My question is this. Is there any way that i can force reinstall the firmware to the board via usb /pogrammer to vga port / or even soldering some cables to the right spots and reinstall the firmware with a programmer via computer. I have some skills in soldering and reballing chips so with some reading and guidance i might save my tv. What do you think. Is there someone with experience on this?? The board is cv338h-t42
