    Samsung UA46ES5660 standby light flashes

    Hi
    Got this Samsung LED tv. Plug set in standby light comes on steady. Switch on Standby light flashes 2 times for a sequence of 5.On the psu I only get the a5v coming out. Disconnect PSU from Main board, backlights come on and all the PSU voltages come up. When in fault mode there are no voltages on any of the regulators on the main board. Yet the processor must be working otherwise it wouldnt change when the set is switched on. Also none of the chips on the main board are getting warm.
    The PSU board is BN44-00502C

      "Disconnect PSU from Main board, backlights come on" This usually means the backlights and powerboard are ok, try unplugging lvds cable from tcon, see if there's any change, can also try unplug wifi module, take powerboard to mainboard connector off, inspect the ends for any burn looking marks, can also check that cable for continuity. Be careful not to stretch out the connections, I use stripped bread ties to check them but you can usually get the probe on the outside metal part of connector where wire goes into connector.

          When powering on are any voltages coming up momentarily?
          I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

              So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

              I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

              I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?.               Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv.               Hi, I'm new here and looking for some advice on how to diagnose an issue i have with 2 samsung TVs.

              I have a UE32J5500AK and a UE48H6400AK both with the same issue of red light but nothing happening on the screen, the red light responds to remote or button press by flashing once but stays red. I have searched forums but most turn up a blinking red light.

              I have tried replaceing the power board on the UE32J5500AK last year but this resulted in the same outcome.
              The UE48H6400AK recently developed some small bright areas on the screen, then last week would not power...

              Dead / No Power / No Standby Light results after power company had three
              consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.

              After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect.
