    LG 50PS8000 Plasma has started to flicker.

    Hi all,
    A few weeks back my plasma lg tv developed a flicker along with a red line across the very bottom if the screen.

    The line appears to of disappeared but the flickering persists.

    I studied electrical engineering at college and build pcs but this will be the first time i have opened a modern tv.

    Can anyone point in the direction of what i should be replacing based on the videos?

              Never seen this before, since there's was a red line horizontal at the bottom (cannot see it in the videos), test the buffer boards, if they're fine, measure the main voltages: VS, VA, VSC, -VY and Z-BIAS. Especially VSC and -VY, if they are not totally stable something is draining too much current, use a still image to test, like a full white screen.

                  I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

                  Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

                  Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

                  Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

                  i have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...

                  I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
                  It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.


                  So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.

                  Sony XBR-85X950G Gray horizontal lines and vertical picture shift diagnosis?

                  5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source. Right now there's nothing but power cable connected and it's happening.                   Good picture but has ~200Hz+ faint flicker/strobing over entire screen. Also has a single green vertical line. Can mask out t-con signals (2pins) to stop flicker/strobing but 1/12 of screen will be all colorful vertical lines (single green vertical line is in this section)

                  Since can mask t-con signal to disable part of the screen and stop flicker/strobing. Obviously not backlight.

                  Panel has 4x driver boards each responsible for 1/4 of the screen. 3 tabs on each board. Each tab responsible for 1/12 of the screen. the 2 outer most tabs has additional horizontal gate control...
