    Ps51d450

Hi, Firstly I have learned a lot using this forum, I have an old PS51d450 it's been working perfect until last week, where it turned off and I had no picture or sound. Using this forum I discovered a short on the X main board, all other board test fine and giving me proper voltages across them. I replaced the x main last night and the TV works again. Picture is near perfect. But one thing I forgot to check was the VE voltage from the X Main test point. When I checked this I am only getting 86v from the VE test point on the X main but the ribbon cable coming from the Y main is giving it 100v which is close to what the panel sticker states 101v.

Because the TV is working again, I have switched it back off incase it does any damage until I find out if I need to adjust the bottom pot so the VE test point on the X Main should be set to read 100v the same as the top and feed from the Y main. Also I noticed there is some amount of heat from the big heatsink on the left of the X main so much that after only 10 mins you can't keep your finger on the heatsink is this normal? I know to TV gave off a lot of heat before so this might be normal but thought I would ask. Thanks

How to probe TP7002 for AP_PS_HOLD on SM-G930F?
    by R7027
In the service manual for Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F), step number four in the flow chart for troubleshooting power-on issue is to check the voltage level of a "signal".

I had a very hard time locating this. I didn't understand what it means to check for voltage of something by its signal name, and it's location was not described in the service manual (not that I could see in my four chapter excerpt of the complete manual). Then I learned that this signal name needs to be translated into a test point (TP) ID on the board. This is unlikely to be referenced in a service...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
    by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)
    by SluggerB
I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
    by ygorsan
    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

    🧩 Problem Summary:
    • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
    • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
    • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.
