    le32r88bd service settings query

    ok i have this samsung tv model in title . it constantly restarts . tried new 1000uf caps under the metal shield .tried factory reset . still same .
    entered service settings and changed in options ready from off to on .now it stays on but at a cost of losing dtv ..
    what actually happens when setting ready to on from off ? like maybe its a clue as to why it keeps restarting .
    before anyone asks i have tried the old hair drier trick without results .

      haven't timed it . maybe 15 or 20 seconds .

        could be tuner issue.. if or signal switch ic or firmware too.. try with this 20 seconds if you can change the source to any other ports ..

          yes it can be changed but no dtv menu appearing when set to dtv . also when pressing menu button when its set to dtv seems to crash the tv and instant restart
          dtv option not there if option set to on from off in service menu but tv stays on like i said .
          wondered if it might be eeprom issue .

            you need to bring back the option ready to off as it should then try what i asked change source

              by the way this is an old board i am using . the other board i have that fixed it about 6 months ago gave up when i was selling the set to friend .the bloody thing powered up fine 20 minutes previously . with that board all i get is led on and only goes off after pressing power on remote .nothing else happens . tv buttons do nothing no beeps no led .

                i tried setting back to off and still no dtv option there . maybe i need to do reset after switching off . although service settings should be instant as far as i am aware

                  i got it wrong . the dtv option does come back but still no menu for dtv .
                  i am still wondering what the answer is to my original questions and what exactly happens when on is selected in options as opposed to off . ?
                  i know it obviously removes dtv as a source but how does it do that ?
