    Hitachi 42hxt12u wifi

    Hi guys
Just recently repaired the backlights on this set but then noticed that this vestel set does not have built in wifi but requires a dongle
Vezzy 200 usb dongle is the required dongle which I cannot find
So my question is does anyone know a compatible version that will also work on this vestel set

    Thanks

    Re: Hitachi 42hxt12u wifi

Vezzy 200 dongle is the only one that will work directly with these models. There are chinese units that derive the power from a usb port and are then connected up to the lan port on the TV. The configuration for the unit has to be done with a pc or laptop and cannot be done solely by the TV.
I personally haven't tried them as they require some setup with a reasonable tech savvy customer and they are few and far between!
Customers just want plug and play without too much configuation.

      Toshiba/Vestel 58UL2B63DB Wifi Issue???
      by ResetReality
      Hello fellow tech heads.

Had this tv come in...issue stated reboots on wifi.

Indeed it does. However, with wifi off or using cat 5 cable no reboot issues.

So far ive changed mainboard and wifi module...also reset tv back to factory via service menu (4725)

Still same issue... i do have a psu to swap but cant see it being that really as works flawless if wifi is disabled

I thought fireware? But why only on wifi?

Is it an issue with the memory cache filling up and having to reboot for more ram??

      At a total...

Hitachi (Vestel) TV is not turning on
      by Askic
      Hello guys,

I have 32 inch Hitachi TV with Vestel PSU board 17IPS71. Tv was working normally and I shut it down normally via remote control.
The next morning it couldn't turn ON neither with remote controller or via button on the logic board.
There is a red standby LED ON, so it is not dead totally.
I have examined the PSU board and I cannot find find any traces of blown components or bulged caps. Electrolytic caps are manufactured by Elite.
I also check diodes and big MOSFET (with cooler/heatsink). It seems OK.

Can you tell me based on...

M557-G0 no WiFi/Bt no WIFIVendor file?
      by howardc64
Thanks to Diah, got M557-G0 LCD panel buffer board repaired and running ( link ) Next challenge is no WiFi/Bt despite module on the main board and getting 3.3v supply (3.45v measured)
      • TV Menu shows Network Access Point option (enet unplugged) but menu can't select that entry
      • Service Menu shows many Bt/Wifi info missing
      • Vizio app shows no WIFIVendor file
Prior owner used enet and said turned off wifi somehow. It seems system config info for wifi might be missing. Anyone experienced this before?
      • Tried countless enet unplug (user manual said need to unplug enet to get to wifi menu), factory

      820-00850 & 820-01949, No WiFi *In Recovery*
      by ugamazing
I've got two boards with the exact same issue, and it's confusing the hell out of me. In short:

      1. Both boards behave *exactly* the same; they will show WiFi networks to connect to, and will boot fully to Internet Recovery, but they each show zero available WiFi networks once booted to Internet Recovery. I also cannot switch WiFi "off", as in, the toggle will not move.

      2. Both boards will erase perfectly fine using the "erase mac" function; I can wipe them with disk utility, but if I try to install MacOS from Internet Recovery, it says to connect...
