its issue that t-con cant handle 2 channel signal... 99% firmware need to re flash.... and the reset 1% T-con HW fault

Re: HiSense 50CU6000 screen goes black after a few seconds
you have on the main boards between the USB & HDMI 2 audio jack one of them are service jack .. can be used with any TTL serial with pc and terminal to read the log while the set booting as well the issue when it turn the screen off.
if you are familiar with terminal and Linux platform i think you know what i am talking on.Leave a comment:

Re: HiSense 50CU6000 screen goes black after a few seconds
could you show us the whole back of the set boards??
the easy way to know why it goes black by trace the live log of the main boards via the service jack.Leave a comment:

Re: HiSense 50CU6000 screen goes black after a few seconds
Try unplug tv, unhook cable from mainboard to tcon, plug power cord back in, turn tv on, see if you have the red led lit up at the optical audio output on mainboard and if it stays on.Last edited by nomoresonys; 01-26-2021, 05:20 AM.Leave a comment:

I wouldn't rule out the mainboard as the culprit.Leave a comment:

Re: HiSense 50CU6000 screen goes black after a few seconds
I've isolated the problem to the tcon, plugging it back in with the tv on it runs for the same 8-10 seconds then dies.Leave a comment:

Re: HiSense 50CU6000 screen goes black after a few seconds
Just wanted to add vgh starts at 21.9v then drops to 21.5v and then 0.3v when it happens, the 12v pin on tcon reads 11.9v.Leave a comment:

You can turn it on and it will boot up and after a few seconds the screen goes black but the backlight stays on and there's still sound. It will display picture briefly before it goes out.
Here it is coming on without a video source, there are some lines and tracers.

I'm also wondering if this transformer should have voltage going through that outer frame part in the picture, this was measured using hot ground.Tags: None

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappearedI bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about computer repairs but nothing worked so far. When the black screen appeared, my legion 5 pro was connected to my external monitor...

Laptop came in for a SSD upgrade, took everything apart to install the SSD.
Everything started after modifying BIOS settings to boot UEFI instead of Legacy.
Laptop works fine, i installed windows 10 and drivers/updates, everything works ok(when it works)
The black screen problem is random, maybe 5 out 10 times, laptop remains with the black screen, no image
Symptoms are:

by EUWestHey Folks just got another Hisense with an unusual Problem.
After plugging in its starts buzzing on the cold side. Could not located it 100%, but seems like transformer/capacitor.
TV has 1 horizontal Line, often static. After 10min screen gets flickering and after about 20min screen gets Black while Sound is on. After turning off and on screen appears back for about 5min and then went Black again.
I checked LED Voltage:
While Screen is on about 115v
While Screen is Black also about 115v
LED Connection unplugged also 115v
