What causes these ribbon cables to burn up?
Notice they have what looks like a notch in each side, that's where they burnt. Is it a bad tcon ground or bad panel ground?... -

I need a dump for Westinghouse WD40FW2610 tcon board number 1P-0149J00-4011 or k0075zl. I have a dump from a k0075zn tcon that needs the screen flipped to work and theres no option in the service menu. I can upload the dump incase anyone can edit it.Leave a comment:

I got a milwaukee m18 grinder and battery from a guy living out of a motel for $20. From what I can tell he took a broken grinder and a good battery from wherever he works. The grinder needs a service field aka commutator.
I charged the m18 the only way I could and it's still holding strong and according to the battery when I check how many charges its had its only been charged 231 times....Leave a comment:

I can't find anything in the service menu that allows me to flip the screen. I've included a picture of the tcon incase theres a jumper or something.... -

Turned it on and it's back to the same thing. I managed to get into the factory menu, a seiki remote works fine. I reset the eeprom which didnt fix anything.

No looking back at the first pic I posted of the tcon it wasn't there. That was 100% me,, not sure at what point I did it but I think the tv had two problems, the first which was the shitty power cables and the second which I caused....Leave a comment:

IT'S ALIVE!!!! I put some flux on the ic and ran my iron across it a few times and I must have still had a short because I it fired up and the tcon ghosted for a second (negatively charged caps from the short?) and it's been working fine for the last 10 minutes or so....Last edited by MikeRWK; 02-06-2021, 06:41 PM.Leave a comment:

I was about to say I'm going to scrap the tv and keep the boards. Looks like i need to look at the main board, when I unplugged the lvds cable my short went away.Leave a comment:
