    LG Flatron M208WA vertical purple stripe

    I have this TV-monitor out of a sudden appeared a vertical purple stripe.
    I checked voltages on the main board, all fine. Cleaned and reseated the cable to the panel board but nothing. Is there a chance to be fixed or send it for recycling?

      I got this monitor Philips 279M1 and the issue is : when is cold (turn off for few hours, not in standby) and turn it on it's coming whit a red vertical stripe. After 5 minutes or less (depend on the room temperature) the stripe disappearing

      Hoping to figure out if the panel is done. A week or so ago this stripe appeared on right side of display. It is there with all inputs. Pictures attached. the picture and audio are not affected. I tried disconnecting ribbon from buffer to panel and it does not change. Disconnecting the ribbon next to it yields the expected white stripe. There are vertical buffers on top and bottom therefore the 1/2 screen stripe.
      There are green and yellow lines on top and left side of stripe and multi-color lines on right side.

      My suspicion is that the panel is the cause because there is...

      I'm working on my 27" RCA console TV built in 1990. It had some vertical rollover for a few months that went away after being powered on for a few minutes. I had been meaning to open it up and check it out but it had total vertical collapse before I could get to it.

      Now that I have the time I opened it up and found a couple leaky capacitors around the vertical ic. So I figured the caps went bad and cooked the vertical IC.

      I got the caps out and replacements on order. But when I took out the Vertical IC I saw that the chip numbers have been almost completely wiped...

      Hi guys…I need your help. My cousin ask me to fix her tv. The tv when I went to pick up showed 3 horizontal black line. So I know it was a bad panel issue but I could try to fix with the tape method so I said her I could fix easy. When I come back to home, I turned on the tv and now the tv show vertical line colored….and the problem is that I unplug the ldvs cable, first the right side then the left side I still have the lines.
