Re: Philips 40PFL7007T/12 debug and repair. Fusion chip or PSU?
Thanks everyone for the help, I'm afraid I've decided I can't spend anymore time debugging this and I needed the dining table backI'm going to sell the TV for spares and repairs in case someone else can make sense of it. Really appreciate everyone's suggestions and sorry I didn't have the time to get to a satisfying conclusion.

by reformattI thought I'd throw out some of my personal experiences in the last 12 months with Intel iMacs, 2.5" SATA SSD drives and Fusion drive data recoveries.
As a backgrounder, Apple never fitted a 2.5" SSD's to these iMacs. Apple's SSD option was a system of 32GB NVMe blade drive (NGFF connector) and Seagate 1TB 2.5" HDD, married together in software to become a Fusion drive. Non Fusion systems have just the 1TB Seagate HDD.
So, the most common reason an iMac comes across my bench is because it's either ridiculously slow, or it fails to boot at all. The most...12-18-2024, 10:34 PM -

I have an MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 (MS-7525) which underwent LGA1700 replacement and had a missing resistor in the VRM section. The missing resistor RV170 (49,9Ω) has been resoldered, and I have also replaced a demaged LGA1700 socket.
Generally the board does boot to Windows, but not always in the first attempt, but after the second attemp to boot the board with Power Button. Also restarting the board from Windows ends up with stuck boot process, but restarting the board again (long push Power Button or switching off and on PSU). Under Windows etherything works... -
by G33RTPhilips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.
Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ? -
by Malcolma172I was trying to repair my tv wich previously had a blinking red led 2 times and it kept going. After shorting the sdm the blinking led changed 5 slow blinks and 3 fast ones wich in the service manual meant error 53 / the fusion chip.
After I heated the fusion chip with a hairdryer for 5 minutes it started working perfectly but after a day it stopped this time no led blinks even in sdm mode.
After probing the psu I have 3.49v and for 1 second I have at least 2 12.3v lines active the fusion chip gets warm in that second the led turns on and then the 12v lines start losing power... - Loading...
