Are they the ones with the purple marker alongside. Why do you believe they are broken? Did you double check your readings.

      Yes, should've said.

I identify which traces are + and - by applying the multimeter in diode mode to each trace area using trial and error. When I've figured out which lights up an LED, I move to the next strip and try the same pads.

The marked LEDs do not light up when touching the same pads that lit up the LED on another strip.

(Of course, I had to do this twice, once for A strip and once again for C)

      Hope that makes sense!

Yes, that would seem to be OK.

Awesome! Probably gunna have to buy a full set of LEDs as they seem to be cheaper than getting them individually.

Can't wait to get the dining room table back!

Appreciate you sending over that link but I ended up buying the £33 pack off Ebay.

So thanks for all your help mate - we're all working again now!

Saved another rebadged vestel from the tip.

That backlight uniformity is quite bad. Replacing all strips might improve it. LG LB series is another typical case, trying to stay away from them.

Turn the backlight (not to be confused with the brightness or contrast) down as much as possible to reduce the wear on the leds and extend their lifetime.

Samsung UN70NU6070F Standby Light flashes twice
                    by Nicktronic
                    Hey Everyone,

So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

                    Hi
Got this Samsung LED tv. Plug set in standby light comes on steady. Switch on Standby light flashes 2 times for a sequence of 5.On the psu I only get the a5v coming out. Disconnect PSU from Main board, backlights come on and all the PSU voltages come up. When in fault mode there are no voltages on any of the regulators on the main board. Yet the processor must be working otherwise it wouldnt change when the set is switched on. Also none of the chips on the main board are getting warm.
                    The PSU board is BN44-00502C

                    Hoping soene can help

                    Thanks

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                    by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                    by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

                    Samsung BN44-00259A standby question
                    by Crystaleyes
                    Hi all.

I started a thread while back regarding TV power supply standby circuitry as it is something I am not quite on top of.
SMPS theory and function is becoming more familiar, however the standby part is still a bit of a mystery.

Anyway, a friend has this TV with the above mentioned power supply board which has no standby voltage, nor any other voltages leaving the board.
The mains AC comes in fine, gets filtered and rectified with power is on the main filter cap as well as the transformer and drain pins of the ICE3B0665J, but that's it.
