Hi, i just received this P1 gen 3 and started troubleshooting it, and im encountering a very bizzarre behaviour which i cannot find any info or example about:
The laptop doesnt turn on, you do get amber light on the charger led and both the power button and lid led blinks 3 times like described on the manual when the machine is plugged into power. but nothing else. Same behaviour when trying charging when either of the two usb-c ports or the proprietary DCIN connector.
I proceeded removing cmos battery and main battery to try and see if it would change anything, but nothing.
I then removed the whole board from the chassis to check on the underside for any visible damage or tampering from other people, but couldnt see anything. after doing this, and putting back the computer back together, the Caps Lock light turns on. When its on battery power only, it turns only for about 5 seconds after pressing the power button, when its on external power (either usb-c or DCIN port) it turns on immediately and stays on regardless.
I managed to obtain both schematics and boardview for it, and found this behaviour extremely bizzarre: considering the caps lock light is controlled directly by the embedded controller, does this imply its faulty?
Currently i'm away from home until friday afternoon and i dont have my tools with me, but meanwhile i wanted to get a couple of opinions on the situation. I'll update the situation with my investigations as soon as i can.
