Vizio sometimes doesn't power on

I have a vizio D65u-D2.

It powers on fine most of the time, but sometimes when I hit the power button on the remote the power LED on the TV turns on then off and the vizio logo doesn't display. Then I just hafto hit the power button again and it'll turn on.

It's been like this since I got it for free off facebook awhile back.

Otherwise it's been fine.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!!

try to use the side panel on the tv to turn on the set for several days .. if its response correctly to power on always .. then inspect your remote.. change battery first or use other one,, reason could be the code it sends by RC incompatible to firmware register.. for example;
0X0C to turn on.. it could be send 0XO1C or other code depend on the reason cause on RC
