If it does not work with the above software, also post the panel code.

        Hi

Thanks for the file - however still no joy - the TV just flashes the re power LED 10 times.

Main board Vestel is 17MB97 and the U81 on main board is a 25L1606E and the file implies 25L1605... - does that matter?

        Panel label shows as - 10096599 - 23269708 96 48 27366448 DIJ.

        Any help gratefully received.

        TIA

1606 / 1605 same data sheet. you need to program the spi flash. not via USB

            1. 25L1606=25L1605
            2. Cod panel ex. VES480XXXXXXX (if the panel is Vestel)
            3. The bin posted by Diah is for the programmer, not for the stick

              Hi

OK have removed 26L1606E and programmed chip with code (using CH341a and AsProgrammer s/w) - re-inserted into board but symptoms are the same - power LED pulses x 10 times at power on.

Attached is a pic of the labels on the board.

Anything else you can suggest/advise please?

              Thanks again...

Panel code is also required for correct software. It is written on a white label pasted on the back of the panel. At the Vestel panel it starts with VES ???????

JUST NOW you mentioned blinking led 10 time.. yours diagnose of firmware WRONG to me.

you need start trouble shooting the power supply first.. and all voltage include the BL socket voltage.. you have HW issue

                    Re: Panasonic TX48C300B - recovery F/W

                    Hi Diah

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - what I took as an error code of 10 flashes was in fact the normal startup of this set and of course there were no backlights.... - I checked around the MP3394 which seemed to be shutting down early as the VLED didn't really hit high enough to light the LED's. The OVP pin seemed to reach 1.25 volts so I checked the R's on this pin - 2 x 390K and 1 x 6K8 - I removed the 2 x 390K's off board to check and they seemed good so I soldered them back in - next time I checked the LED's lit and the set is running.

I haven't found a definite fault but suspect maybe some board leakage putting the IC into OVP prematurely. I have cleaned the board and will run the set.

Thanks for your pointer..... next time I'll state the fault up front

                    Cheers

                    MC
