Samsung UN46EH5300FXZA cycling on and off

I have a Samsung UN46EH5300FXZA that is cycling on and off when powered on. When i unplug the mainboard from the power board and plug the power back in the backlights stay on for a longer period of time. I also check the connector between the powerboard and backlights and there is no sign of issues with arcing.

When you do that test the backlights should stay on as long as the board has power so you are saying that they stay on longer but still shut off??

They were not shutting off at all actually. They stayed on until i unplugged the tv from power. With the mainboard plugged into power it would turn on, show the input, and then shut off and then repeat itself.

Ok, so looks like the powerboard and backlights are good then, could be a mainboard issue.

try very fast after it turn on to change the picture mode brightness to low one. ( you should do it with out any signal source just stand alone )

I figured out it was the motherboard that was causing the issues. I could even use the menu functions when the tv would power on for the couple seconds that it would. Thanks for the input.
