Re: LG50PC56 snow on screen
Bad solder joints on the big filtering inductors on both Y-SUS and Z-SUS boards cause some plurple tint on the image, but yours are way more severe, these photos are quite the poor angle and resolution, but the TV seems to be displaying correctly the menu, bright enough to not be Z-SUS failure.
Open the TV and take measurings from the test points on the boards.
There's a sticker on the panel on the inside, it shows which important voltages need to be at what value. VSUS(PSU), VA(PSU), -VY(Y-SUS), VSCN(Y-SUS), Z-BIAS(Z-SUS). -
Re: LG50PC56 snow on screen
No real image? when you plugged in something into HDMI for example, only "no signal" was displayed?
Whatever method you're using to resize your photos is ruining the picture quality.
I sugest you remove the back cover, and start probing with a multimeter those voltages:
VSUS(PSU), VA(PSU), -VY(Y-SUS), VSCN(Y-SUS), Z-BIAS(Z-SUS).
If they're normal, within spec, next you would need to remove the boards from the TV and check for bad soldering on the inductors I mentioned.
I've also never seen this issue before, if someone else has, they could just point the cause immediately.Comment

by wizard13Hello everyone,
I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.
I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.- Brand & Model: Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by cloudyHi everybody
Since day one I'm having an unpleasant contrast/brightness issue on my Asus laptop.
Basically while watching movies, if subtitles appear on screen, the contrast or the brightness of the entire screen increases a lot (not sure if it'is brightness or contrast), disturbing the viewing of the movie.
Last year I replaced my screen because got damaged and this contrast/brigthness issue persists. It happens only on the laptop screen, in fact If i plug an external HDMI screen the issue does not occour on it.
It occours both on ubuntu and windows...01-01-2023, 05:12 PM -
by ScHAmPiHi all,
Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:
I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...2 Photos -
by kilogHello friends,
Last week when I tryed to start my CF53-MK2 it just stop starting

Some time it may show the startup Bios screen for a 3 to 10 seconds and then immediatly starts to disply snow and coloured lines.
I tested the RAM it is correct.
I tried to hook the machine on a HDMI screen, nothing.
I am not sure that the computer goes far to be able to show anything on an additional monitor.
