    Generically Speaking.. Newer Samsung Plasma.. Power To Full Then Drops Slowly..

    Generically speaking, what is the most likely problem with a newer Samsung Plasma PN60E530AF where at power up, the power LED blinks properly.. I get the startup tones... Power at full (205V) and then the power relatively slowly drops.. No display....

    I have replaced the Main Video Board, Power PCB and X-Sustain boards with likely (but not confirmed) good boards..

    The Y-Sustain or the buffer boards??

    Any hints and tips would be most appreciated..

      Putting some freeze spray on an IC below the yellow transformer on the upper part of the Y-Sustain board makes the panel come on just fine..

          Glad to report SUCCESS on this TV as well!!

          Parts for the Y-Sustain came in yesterday.. Got to work bright and early this AM (extra hour of sleep was really nice ) installed the parts on the T-SUS..

          TV came up nice and perfect.. Just in time for the JAGS game this morning!!

          At first, I kinda kicked myself for wasted the bucks buying the X-SUS board first..

          But when I put the old X-SUS back in, the TV wouldn't come up at all.. So, apparently the X-SUS was bad as well.. Had a scary moment thinking the bad X-SUS board just friend the components I had put in the Y-SUS... Put the new X-SUS back in and we're still golden..

          Whew!! Dodged a bullet..

          So, all's well that ends well..

          But, getting back to my original question...

          Generically speaking, with plasmas in general (or Samsung plasmas in general) is that symptom (proper VS voltage that slowly counts down) a very general symptom that could indicate a host of different problems??

          Or is that symptom specific to Sustain boards???

          While I DO really enjoy all the fish here, learning the ins and outs of different fishing techniques is extremely valuable in my line of work..

                  I just acquired this portable aircon, history unknown. Its behaviour is quite strange:
                  • When turned on and placed into cooling mode, the upper fan (cold air out) just spins slowly. The compressor and lower fan do not run.
                  • If the device is then placed into heating mode and then back into cooling mode, the lower fan and compressor kick in and start cooling, but the upper fan still only spins slowly.
                  • If the device is placed into fan-only mode, the upper fan does not respond to low/medium/high speed toggles - just keeps running slowly.

                  Hello!

                  This is my first post for help, and I am quite newer to board repair, so bear with me.

                  I have this board here (LA-E671P), with no power, and doesn't charge. No lights come on when plugged in.

                  After visual inspection of the board, U22 is obviously blown up. This is the for backlight, and there is no shorts present after removing the chip and replacing.

                  There is 3 USB C ports to power this board, USB 1 gives 20V, while 2 and 3 only give 5V.

                  My observations using USB 1 at 20V (0.075A draw on Ammeter, slowly drops from 0.136A)...

                  Hello,

                  i have an 55cx9la tv fully functional.
                  furthermore i have a new mainboard from newer model oled 55cs9la / cs series.

                  Both Mainboards look the same and the connectors to the t-con board and psu are also the same.
                  Only one connector which leads to the wlan/bluetooth and power led is different.

                  Anyone here, who tried to upgrade lg cx series to newer cs series ????

                  Is that possible ?
                  How to power on the tv for test purposes without plugging in the power on/bluetooth/wlan connector, because it is different and does not fit...

                  Hi all,

                  I have a MBP A1398 EMC 2881 here, it chimes, boots and shows picture on external screen
                  there is an apple logo on the display, no backlit

                  I measured the PP3_G3H on the backlit fuse - it's 12.6V when not powered and it drops to 10.8V after startup.
                  Is this OK?

                  Also measured the LVDS connector pin 1, there is 0V, could that be the backlit driver chip?
                  Also checked all 4 "backlit" capacitors, all OK, not shorted.

                  I have a laptop that isn't turning on. When I disassemble it and plug in the power connector with the pcb by itself, I can see with a thermal camera I bought that TPS51285A is the only thing getting hot.

                  So of course, the first thing I do is google the laptop model and the IC, and it just happens that I stumble upon a video by Northridgefix attempting to repair the exact same problem, only for it to catch on fire.

                  I thought that maybe I'd be lucky so I bought a 1285A, that came in as a 1285B. The only difference I can see between them is that the 1285B...
