Samsung - Plasma PN51F5500AF Wont Turn On

    Hi forum --
I can use some help with troubleshooting a Samsung Plasma - I tried to search the forum for like issues but they all vary from one set to another --
Here is my TV issue; When the set is plugged in the red power light is illuminated ON. When I press the ON button the led flashes OFF and ON 3 times before it goes into a red double flash 5 times sequence. There are no other indicators as far as Picture or clicking. No Evidence of any bad Caps or Burn Markings - This TV is dead --
I took some photos of the TV with the cover removed and I took some voltage measurements to display to the forum for direction. Also there is no green flashing LED illuminated on the Main Controller Board.
Please let me know if there are additional information needed -- Thank You..

On the PS Board there are 2 connectors that I was able to take measurements during the events --
CN802 - Is ties to the right side of the PS Board
    1. D15V - 15.4V then turns off and then ON again during the initial 3 O3/Off then 0V during the 5 double flashes.
    2. GND - (0V)
    3. VA 0V - No matter condition
    4. GND (0V)
    5. N.C.
6.VS 0.9V then to 0V - It was trying to come up during the 3 time seq but went to 0V during the 5 double sequence.
    7. VS - Same as above

Next Connector - This connector is tied to the controller board - Right Below the PS Board. 18 Pin Connector --
    1. PS ON 3.3V - Turns Off During the 3 On/Off and then to 0V
    2. STBY - 5.25V Steady ON no matter condition
    3. GND (0V)
    4. D15V - Same as the above Pin 1
    5. GND (0V)
    6. GND (0V)
    7. D5.3V 0V no matter what condition
    8. D5.3V 0V Same as above
    9. GND (0V)
    10. D15V Same condition as above
    11. D5.3V 0V
    12. D15V Same as above Condition
    13. D5.3V 0V
    14. D5.3V 0V
    15. V5 - ON 0V
    16. GND (0V)
    17. V5-ON 0V
    18. GND (0V)

    Thank You,
    Richard

Did you unplug the power cable to the Y sustain and and checked to see if va tries to come up?

      Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV

      Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
      a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
      c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

      Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
      by jm1234
      Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
      by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

Schematic or datasheet for Plasma TV buffer chip
      by Yanleb
      Hi all,

I'm interested in understanding how a buffer board chip is working. I know there's about 90 outputs per chip to the plasma panel, but I'm more interested to know about the input pins. I guess that some of them are address pins, but I want to know more.

So far I've found nothing at all. I haven't found any datasheet about the various buffer chips, and I haven't found any schematic for the buffer board using them (Y Buffer Board in Samsung's terminology).

Any information will make me happy. It can be from any buffer chip or plasma TV manufacturer....
