    Re: lg 43LF5400 - UB

    The donor board was a LG 420DUE, EAX66226904(1.0) not identical but a very close match

    LG 43LF5400
    Eeprom = AT24C512C-SSHD-T
    Flash = W25Q64FVSSIG

    Donar Board
    Eeprom = 4G51A
    Flash = MX25L6406E

    I erased the donar ic's and programmed the original 43lf5400 .bins on these donar ic's.

      That explains why it hasn't worked.
      You can upload zip files but not bin files.

        I read the Eeprom and saved it as a .bin file.

        I have to Zip up the .bin file to a .zip file before using a usb programmer to program the Eeprom.zip file back to the Eeprom???

        Thank You

          You read the faulty Eeprom and saved it to a different Eeprom. It wasn't going to work.

          No, if you want to upload here as per your previous post you need to zip the bin first.

                I was hoping it was a faulty Eeprom and or Flash and not the .bins.

                  What's the mainboard and panel number, there seem to be a few different variants.
                  Do you have a backup of your original bin ? Post it here (in a zip).

                      I have found a copy on a site but they want $10. The other versions I find are for a different version board with different flash and eeproms.

                          There is a LED_RED from R111 and pin 130 on the LGE 8220 main processor in the 43LF5400.

                          When you turn on your TV and your stand-by led lights up, where is the signal to light up, sent from, the Eeprom or flash, to LGE 8220?

                            No, it's sent from the LGE8220.

                                Just picked up an LG 43LF5400 where the screen lights up some--even overall but not bright--but I cannot get an image on the screen when I hit Menu. Any quick and dirty, know fixes for these? From other posts I'm guessing main board. Thanks

                                    Sorry for the delay--I'll blame it on the holidays.

                                      Check the voltage on both sides of the fuse (F1) on the T-con board, you should see +12v on both sides. If you have this voltage, unplug tv, disconnect one of the flat cables (CN3 or CN4) between the t-con and the panel and try the tv, you should see something on half the screen, if not unplug tv, reconnect the cable and try disconnecting the other and try again.

                                        My t-con board F1 is rated at 2 AMPS and 125V is this where I should get 12V?

                                        The F1 fuse checked OK on my VOM, showed continuity.

                                        Removed each CN3 & CN4 one at a time. Each time half screen lit, with other half remaining black, left then right.

                                          Bump--anyone got input? The three boards as a set aren't that expensive, but no sense in buying two I don't need.

                                          Thanks
