When you say started with freezing? You mean it started up or is doing something similar to what mine is?

I can totally replace it. ive replaced a few already but they werent doing anything like this. which makes me skeptical. but this main is such a simple board i dont really see how it could be anything else. either that or the micro.

Follow the instruction is post #!8 or #19. If the tv starts up after the eeprom is frozen, replace it. If it doesn't, replace it anyway.

Yeah it didnt start up upon freezing. But I'll see if my mom wants to try the eeprom.

I was reading i could also get a programmer for not too much and write my own with a dump from a good tv. Is that correct?

If so, is there another resource for dumps besides this forum. It has only one element and the model doesnt match. I would rather buy a programmer if i could that way id have it if this happens again.

You can get a cheap ch341 usb programmer on ebay and a 200mil wide SOP8 socket to program these eeproms. Difficulty is finding the bin file for your model. If freezing worked, you can freeze and read off the chip.

          $15 for a preprogrammed eeprom isn't a big gamble to save a 60" TV.

I agree. freezing didnt work though. i will most likely buy the eeprom and dump it if anyone else has this horrible model tv.
