    Panasonic TC-P65S2 SU or SD Boards Bad?

    I have a TC-P65S2 that blew an SC board (I had a previous post about some cross references). When I put the repaired SC board in, it worked with the SD and SU boards isolated and SC50 jumped. I reinstalled the SD and SU boards. I did forget to remove the SC50 jumper, but from what I understand about how that jumper works, that should not cause SC board destruction with properly working SC/SD/SU boards. When I turned the TV back on, the SC board blew again. Based on the fact the SC board was working without the SU and SD boards, it at least makes sense that one or both of them is bad.

    I did check for shorts on the SU and SD boards previously and found none. Even after the SC board failed after the repair the outputs on the boards had no shorts. I did do the resistance checks specified in the repair guide and also compared them to tw2005's spreadsheet he made when repairing a different (but similar) TV. I will include those measurements below. Nothing is shorted, but the values are certainly different enough from known good values to have me questioning it. Is there anything that can be checked on the SD/SU boards besides the buffer IC's themselves? Since they have no dead shorts on the output, I don't know how I could identify which chip was bad. Replacement boards for these plasma's are getting really hard to come by and really expensive.

    All measurements were done on a Fluke 179 with a manual range of 6MOhm. Both boards were completely isolated. No connections to SC board, no connection between SD and SU board, and no panel connections. The 5V_F line on the SC board is NOT shorted even after failure (measures the service manual value of 2.7kOhm), so I don't think that is what is obviously broke on the SD/SU boards. Do my values point to an obvious problem that I am overlooking? Randomly replacing boards on this TV would get prohibitively expensive for what it is worth.

      Put your meter in continuity mode and put black probe on circled floating ground, then take red probe and rake across all ribbon connections. If you hear a beep, you have a short.

        I did that long before I checked the other individual pin resistances. No shorts.
