    sharp LC40F22E

Yes picked up one of these stuck flashing in standby psu checked out ok couldnt attach to a terminal through scart so found matching MB which has worked nicely but just a question really on this tv is because the freeview output seems to have 1cm wide black vertical strip on each end yet under hdmi ip the entire native screen is used nicely so bit puzzled really.

Also to an average user the screen prob look ok but i see a bit of interference pattern almost like a diamond shape caused by the pixels real tiny interference all across the screen it fades in and out a bit its really faint and not so noticeable from distance not sure ide like to watch it long sober. Is this an artefact of cheapness or we might have some firmware issue this being a Samsung panel LTA400HA07

    Re: sharp LC40F22E

Found a more recent Firmware for it didnt want to apply it til backed up but unable to backup so clenched teeth and applied it, result is freeview issue solved no more black bars ether side but now skyhd box via HDMI complains about HDCP. Win some, lose some. Grrr

Also a batch of spi chips arrived fresh from china and so got the original mb working after applying the latest fw could find.

Interestingly both MB give that slight diamond pattern interference on display across multiple FW so hmmmm on that even tried filtering mains i/p dunno maybe its a glitch only noticeable if you know its there really does spoil the crispness of HD images tho

    Anybody?

Sorry for replying to a old thread but I think you can help me.

I'm currently fixing a Sharp LC40F22E that has no standby light and doesn't turn on. It has a 17PW82-2 PSU, 17MB60-4.1 Mainboard and a LTA400HM07 Panel.

I have already repaired the PSU and now receiving all voltages but the fault still exists and think the Firmware could be corrupt or the Mainboard is completely dead. There is one on eBay but would like to try flashing the spi chip first. Do you still happen to have the Firmware you flashed?

i cannot get rid of the interference in the video on this 1.1v and i have tried everything!

i recapped the entire foxlink psu with rubycon caps of the exact uf needed. i also purchased a delta psu to see if the different brand would change anything and it did not. i recapped the entire motherboard except for about 5 of the 22uf caps. i used rubycon on everything except the five in front of the processors. i used 5 nichicon polymer caps there. i soldered a wire to each screw hole of the psu and soldered one wire to the metal outer shell and one to a screw hole on the motherboard(to make sure it was all grounded well). i also recently tried disconnecting the power cables from the dvd drive...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
        by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Help! Sharp LC-70UE30U 3 long flashes + 3 short flashes.
        by SONY_E-WASTER
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.

The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

        does...

        Sharp LC-80LE661U 80 inch
        by gavenb
        Hi folks!
I have a LC-80LE661U that had some interesting issues.
Initially, it would come on and show the sharp logo and would show normal static before shutting off.

I started troubleshooting by disconnecting the led lighting strips and turning it on. It would do the same thing - come on, show the sharp logo and shut off. After reading, it was suggested to replace the main board. That was replaced and the same symptoms resulted. After this and some reading, the parts cannon got loaded up. I replaced the power board, same issue. Replaced the Tcon board and now it...
