    Samsung Curved TV Purple Corners

Friend asked me if I know the issue, I don't i'd of said a failing panel or main board fault.

Fails the screen diagnostic test, purple is present in the menus too.

Not got the model number to hand at the moment

    Anyone able to tell?

I think the Panel may have been under some stress, especially if it is wall mounted. This is not a Main Bd. problem. I have found that curved TVs develop all kinds of screen problems with time. Some even crack unexpectedly. For me the concept is a novel idea but not a practical one.

Thanks Andrew for the info, could this be a manufacturing defect then?

More chance of Samsung doing something about it if it is?

Also, it is wall mounted, think it's a 50 inch

Was it wall mounted with an "adjustable" mount? IF so, it is likely that the user grabbed the corners of the set to adjust angles / directions during different viewing sessions.... maybe. :-(

I "fixed" a sony that had "screen stress" because the user "regularly" moved the wall mounted set for different viewing situation... it eventually had continuity issues on tracks going into the panel at the corner that was forced the most often.
