    hitachi ves420undl

I have one of these in the workshop with bad LED's, can some one point me in the direction of which LED's I need as I need to replace three or four devices on the strip board. Below is a close up of some of the good strips, are these 6 or 3 volts etc.

    Many thanks in advance

Most likely these are 3V. we may be able to help if we could see clear, focused photos of the PSU. I personally prefer to change out the entire strips rather that replace just the bad LEDs as soon enough you would get a failure again and have to re-open the Panel again. Unless you are changing out ALL the LEDs on EACH strip.

you could really do with removing one good led measure it for size and find out if the large or small solder pad is the anode pad, 6 new led strips works about about £55.00 on ebay, if you want just the replacement leds try sending this guy a message hes very helpful

I don't tend to buy replacement strips from Ebay as mostly they are pulls and of unknown hours I have all smd equipment to remove and rework these panels and have been doing so for some time. What information did you need from the PSU

i guess by the led connector do you know the lcd panel number as we could look at the panel specs too and yes agree most strips seem too be puled from smashed sets but the ones i mentioned was new ones its all about the resealable price of the tv too i guess and yes i tend too just replace the leds i just use hot air and soldering iron i should really buy myself a hot plate though.

From the PSU there would be a silk screen print that would say the Voltage and the Current to the LEDs.

what psu number is used in this set can you remove one good led and measure its physical size and find out which is the large pad anode or cathode

                  Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

Request: Firmware for Hitachi 42HXT12U (Vestel 17MB95M, VES420UNDL Panel)
                  by Bazilwrc164
                  Hi all,

I’m looking for a USB firmware file or EEPROM dump for a Hitachi 42HXT12U TV.

The mainboard is a Vestel 17MB95M, and the screen panel is VES420UNDL.

I recently replaced the mainboard with another 17MB95M, but it’s programmed for an LC420DUJ panel, and I’m getting no picture. I’d like to flash the correct firmware via USB or update the EEPROM if needed.

                  If anyone can provide:
                  • A working USB firmware file (like upgrade_loader.pkg or mb95_m.bin)
                  • Or a compatible EEPROM dump
                  ...

                  by tmhobadcap
I got the TV from a friend. He claims that no image but sound from the TV.
I confirmed that when shine a flashlight on to the screen, I can see the image. And this should be backlight problem.
I open up the TV and found a few leds failed. And now I am ordering a new set of backlight strips for it.

But there is something that I do not understand when checking the leds. I do not have an led tester. I only use a bench power supply. I first set the voltage to 3V and current to 10mA. I could not light up the led until I increase the voltage to 12V. I understand most...

                  Hi There!
I bought a broken 32" TV today. It has sound but no image. I checked with a flashlight and it was missing backlight
Disassembled down to the led strips and found this TV has been serviced before. Not sure if it was fixed, worked again for some time, and broke again, or maybe last repair wasn't successful

Looks like on previous repair, the center LED strip was replaced with a different model, 7 leds in it instead of 8, but when checking LEDS one by one, leds on the center strip were brighter with same test voltage (multimeter in DIODE mode) so maybe the...

Soooo, I found someone giving away their 70" Vizio TV because it wouldn't turn on. Hoping it would be just some bad caps, I snapped it up. No dice. No bulging caps. TV would start consuming about 7W immediately after plugging it in, but no response from the remote or power button. Thermal showed the main chip on the mobo getting warm and nothing else. Power supply appeared to deliver stable 12V to the mainboard.

I ordered a replacement mobo(actually both mobo and PSU just to be sure) and popped it in. Picture! Sound! Endorphins! Then I noticed three long dark strips. Hmmm, had...
