    Lg 55lm6410

    Hi
i have a problem with the display showing a rey bar down the left hand side of the panel
    please refer to attached pictures
I have replaced the main power supply board because the unit would not turn on when i received it , i have checked all the cables are seated properly and aligned , i have checked all the supply rails to the main board ect.... all ok
i have tried all inputs the fault is reflective on all inputs
so i believe that the MAIN BOARD is at fault
So before i go purchase a Board has anyone seen this fault before ?
is the MAIN BOARD the fault here, or could it be the panel?

    your help is appreciated

    cheers

    Hello,
from the mainboard runs 2 white ribbon cables (on your picture downways). Are they connected directly to your LCD panel, or is there an other little PCB? If so, that is your T-con panel. That can cause such abnormalities on the picture.
First test you can do: IF you have a T-con panel and IF the cables can be disconnected from it (not the white ones, those that run to the LCD panel), than disconnect one side of it, then turn your set on, show us what picture does it show. Then switch off your TV and do the test with the other side connected.
    Cheers, Janos

It appears as though only half the screen is showing. Recheck both sided of the FFC seating and position, leaving the Main Bd. and going to the T-CON Bd on the affected side.
