Tcon 1 original board has a damaged fcc ribbon cable socket at the bottom of the tcon board so i cant connect it to the cff lower boards
can i still power up this and get the SP1 flash and dump it on a usb stick trnsfer it to the new tcon sp1

I received service remote and tried N-stop that did not work
so I ordered and I put a brand new Mainboard in
I have an instruction sheet that came with the mainboard from LG
stating that I have to follow a 3 step process to make it work
1. I have to make a USB disk and download from GPRS website portal a special firmware patch
2.then I have to install it on the tv
3.then I have to change the ID serial country number

Desolder and take out of circuit the output transistor one at a time measure with a analog meter BCE remembering they are paired transistors NPN & PNP
you will probably find one is slightly leaking
all so check the protection resistor on each channel 22ohm
check their is a monolithic capacitor near the relay that runs the standby circuit on the power supply replace it
ON A NOTE ALL BOARDS must have their Chasis EArth connected
these units run a Pdetc circuit comparator if you have any differences...Leave a comment:

Its sounds like a Output transistor is Bad or a leaking Monolythic cap on the power supply board which is separate from the main board look at the relay their are two caps their the one that runs off the relay line is leaking
22nf from memory I don't have the schematic in front of me
I work on these units all the time and its one of 3 things
the other problem is the Bios chip on the Digital board can go corrupt
check the standby circuit is getting a 3.3vdc pulse when you push the power button ...Leave a comment:

Re: I've replaced almost everything. i'm at a loss.
Check your power supply board for shorts check your X & Y boards for shorts
I had same problem.
It ended up being Upper and Lower Buffer boards had Blown Diodes
that took out the YSus Board that back fed into the X Main Board then the power supply board kept shutting down into protection
Lots of Money spent on Boards replaced for a Repair on a secondhand plasma...Leave a comment:

I have now received the LG Service remote and performed a N-Stop command
but because I have no image I don't know if it is working
I press 0413 and the tv turns on out of standby i then press N-stop on the LG service remote and that is all
The tv turns off and that's it , I turned it back on and NO image

checked all the power supply board All present at the supply board to the Main Board
PROBLEM
VS=7v VE=20mv VA=10mv measured at the SMPS TP
SO here lies the problem
I have replaced the power supply board as I thought that was where the fault was
NO fix

The tv power shuts off after 3mininto Standby NO POWER NO BACKLIGHT and you need to hit the power button to power on again SO the standby Circuit is Working ok
I have checked the listed supply lines as per the main board and they are all present
the Tcon board that was Originally in the tv is Damaged the screw has torn through the copper tracking
I don't think it would be safe to turn on with it in there in case it blows something as it is on the pin 1 15v supply line of the TCON Board

Hello,
I have a Samsung UA55JU7500 Curved LED TV
a Customer brought it to me complaining that he had Vertical lines going through the screen it will not show a image and has no sound or response from the remote control or the onboard controls
When you first turn it on it flashes up a full display of lines then dims out the lines then 2 seconds latter they come back and remain on for 3 minuets then the panel shuts off to a black screen
I have since done some investigations and discovered the following
He put the wrong size screws into the stand and the screws... -

I cant find the Wifi Module to disconnect it WHERE IS IT LOCATED ?
When I measured all the voltages from the back of the PSU plug going to the MAIN i get all the correct voltages
according to the silkscreen table on the PSU board
pin 1 =20v
Pin 3=20v
pin 5= GND
Pin 7=13.2v
pin 9= GND
pin 11= GND
pin 13= PWR=ON
PIN 15=GND
PIN 19=20V
PIN 21= GND
PIN 23=DRV-ON
PIN 25=GND
PIN 27=V-SYNC
PIN 2= 20V

DIAH just a quick Note ...
when I first received the tv it was showing this condition
so I thought it was a Tcon issue Reballing BGM chip
So I have a Heat bed I use for doing Ipads screens etc So I laid the Board down Chip face down & heated it for 4min at 150deg i then plugged it back in and I had the channel number and LG Logo come up on the screen for 1 Minuet
So that's why I thought it was the TCON board and ordered a new one

I have now uploaded high res pics of the tv boards and the Tcon right hand cable disconnected as per your instruction with a source connected
when I connect both tcon ribbon cables I get a dark blue faded to black screen
no IMAGE No SOUND no channel or input display
I have tested the tcon fuse ok 12v
i have tested the lower FCC board where the tcon ribbon cables connect
i have 13v plus 3.6v lines
I don't believe it is the main board as I can see a response from the smart remote...Leave a comment:
