Hello,
As the title says, I was watching TV and it randomly turned itself off. I turned it back on, it went out 10 seconds later. I turned it back on, head a loud pop/crack and picture went out.
I tried turning it back on and I hear the click and the slight buzz like it is about to show a picture, but then nothing will happen.
I did some reading here on multiple threads about this TV, and saw a lot of people replacing a thin-film cap on the power? board (the one in the middle of the TV) but that did not help the problem.
I am trying to do some more research to diagnose the problem, but a little confused by the Y-sus, Z-sus, buffer boards etc. I was wondering also if this could be a simple fuse replacement? There are a lot of threads here about this TV, but none that seem to match my exact problem.
I bought it brand new in I think 2013 or 2014. Would love to fix as it is our main TV, and I spent about $800 on it back then, but not sure if it is worth investing hundreds in for new boards.
Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking!!
