Ecco LCD TV Model LC-42 Solarized image

    Good day,
I have a tv with a heavily solarized image and also on startup the startup logo seems weird with half of the image being a gray and green bar. Check photo attached. I have taken photos of the main and TCON for your perusal.
I have no customer remote so i am buggered. Would you say its a TCON issue or rather a setting in service mode?

    Regards
    A Anagnostou

I'd suspect the maxim 9668E gamma ic. You can measure/record the voltages at the test points to confirm.

Hi, which test points are of importance, can you tell me and i will send feedback?

Hopefully this will give you some idea of what voltages to check.

The test points are marked GMA with a number afterwards, top right in your last photo.

Thanks for the spread sheet link Dick. Now i can make a more informed decision.
I will test those voltages and get back to you as soon as i can.

Re: Ecco LCD TV Model LC-42 Solarized image

Hi Guys, on this board was no AVDD but there was a VDD and it was at 16.5V. I entered that into the spread sheet.
Also the VCOM value was at 28V but the spread sheet say a value between 5 to 10V. I checked around and there was VCOMLFB, VCOMRFB and VCOMR which all measure the same at 6.92V which fits the spread sheet as required.
Check the spreadsheet with all the info.
Is this a bad gamma IC?

              Regards

Can a setting in service mide cause this?

Ok, thanks. I will seek for such a chip. Would be a import with a looooooong waiting time.
