    Lc-70le600u

    Hello,
We are trying to figure out why this Sharp LC-70LE600U tv won't turn on. No standby led or seem to have a standby power. We've replaced the power supply and it has the same reading as the old one. It acts like it's turned on as soon as you plug it in, but when you try and turn it off no change from reading in power supply. Thanks for any ideas!

Just finer than a frog's hair split 50 different directions!

        600 or 6600U?

Lol. It is the 600U. Double checked to make sure.

Only reason I asked is I have a lc-70c6600u on the bench right now.

So are you ever going to get me those pictures/model numbers?

Oh and did you try the "ignore errors" power on?

I see. I think sometime when he can get them all pulled out he will try and get some shots. Not familar with the "ignore errors." So, no, we didn't try that. Lol.

                  Unplug the TV

Hold "volume up" and 'Channel down" buttons simultaneously while plugging in the TV. Keep them pressed for 5-10sec

                  See if it powers on

Unfortunately, no change; did leave the new power supply installed.

Regular buttons on the side or EZ touch buttons in the front bezel?

                        Re: Lc-70le600u

Let me put it this way:

EZ touch buttons: Simultaneously press power, input and volume down. I don't think you have to unplug then hold buttons and plug in on these.

Regular buttons: Unplug TV, simultaneously press input and volume down while plugging in the TV.

                        Does it power on?

Sorry, got tied up. Didn't mean to abandon the post. Used the buttons on the side of the tv.
