D70-f3
Hello, we have a Vizio D70-F3 tv we are trying to repair. It got hit with a power surge. We have replaced the power supply and now have standby power. The tv will power up, but does not have a picture. The leds will flash on and off. Even with the leds disconnected we can watch the power on the power supply for the leds jump as high as 28v and drop as low as 23v. What could be causing the issue? We, also, wanted to check the leds and make sure they test alright (we do have an led tester), but the board isn't marked which positive and negitave go together. We don't want to just assume the left...

Re: Lc-70le600u
Sorry, got tied up. Didn't mean to abandon the post. Used the buttons on the side of the tv.

Re: Lc-70le600u
Unfortunately, no change; did leave the new power supply installed.

Re: Lc-70le600u
I see. I think sometime when he can get them all pulled out he will try and get some shots. Not familar with the "ignore errors." So, no, we didn't try that. Lol.

Lc-70le600u
Hello,
We are trying to figure out why this Sharp LC-70LE600U tv won't turn on. No standby led or seem to have a standby power. We've replaced the power supply and it has the same reading as the old one. It acts like it's turned on as soon as you plug it in, but when you try and turn it off no change from reading in power supply. Thanks for any ideas!

Re: 50ln5600
Sorry it took so long to reply. The cables seem to look fine as do the ones coming from the t-con.

Re: 50ln5600
The ribbons look ok. I ran my finger across the boards and the bottom of the panel to see if one may have been pulled lose, but it didn't change anything. I'll check again later when the batteries are recharged on the bright light for any tears or breaks.

Re: 50ln5600
I reset the ribbon cables and it did not appear to make a difference. Even cleaned the contacts just in case there might have been some sort of build up on them. I, also, checked the power supply for any jumps in power at the leds; no power jumps. One side of the led read 65 v where the other read 64 v, but each held steady.

We will try that. We have once, but will double check it.

50ln5600
Hello,
We've got an LG 50LN5600 tv. The leds have been replaced, however, now there are these small black lines that come on a few sec and then go back off after a few sec. This continues as long as the tv is on. The picture will brighten up on its own and the lines will show up, but when the picture dims back down they disappear and the picture looks great. What could be causing this?
The picture I've attached is a close up of the lines. I have not been able to get a picture of the display without the lines, but it looks the same except without the lines. I'm sorry it's...
