    plasma TV Lg 42w451 - why is the zsus igbts damaged when the ysus is plugged?

    Hi all,
    I am trying to fix my plasma TV which is not powering on due to damaged IGBTs. I have changed two igbts and 2 IC drivers on the zsus and also two igbts on the ysus.
    Now everytime I plugged the ZSUS and the YSUS boards to the power board, the two 30f124 IGBT on the ZSUS are damaged and the TV stays in standby mode. When I plug the ZSUS board alone the TV turns ON but I do not see pictures. When I plug the ZSUS board without the two 30f124 IGBTs and the YSUS board, the TV powers on with a picture.
    I am lost, should I change the YSUS board? Is the YSUS board damaging the ZSUS one?

    We need clear pictures of your tv boards. You may have fake parts from china.

      Hi, thank you for your reply.
      Below is a picture showing the back of the TV with the different boards:


      Below is a picture of the Power Board:

      The ZSUS Board is receiving VS, VA and +5V from the Power Board. I have checked the voltage when the ZSUS is unplugged and they appear to be fine.

      Below is a picture of the ZSUS Board which is directly linked to the Power Board:

      The YSUS Board is receiving VS, ER and +5V from the Power Board. I have checked the voltage when the YSUS is unplugged and after replacing the shorted IGBTs and the IC drivers. VS and the 5V are ok, but I cannot read the ER. If the ER sent by the ZSUS or is the YSUS sending it to the ZSUS?

      Below is a picture of the YSUS Board which is connected to the ZSUS, it is not connected to the Power Board:

      When I plug the YSUS to the ZSUS after changing the shorted IGBTs, the TV start again to click and two of the ZSUS IGBTs get damaged and I have a short between VS and GND.
      I have also noticed that when I remove the ZSUS shorted IGBT and plug the YSUS to the ZSUS, I have a picture on the TV until two of the YSUS IGBT get damaged.

      About the fake Chinese component, yes it is a possibility. I was looking on the mouser website for 30F124 or 30J124 IGBT but I could not find any. So what I did is to order same IGBTs from different suppliers. Hopefully, today I will get some other ones and I will check again.

      In my TV configuration, is it possible that a damaged YSUS could damage the ZSUS?

        Hi,
        I have made some progress, I removed the damaged IGBTs from the YSUS board (they are located on the SUS_UP part).
        I plugged back everything including the ZSUS board where I have changed the 30F124 IGBTs (also located on the SUS_UP), and now the TV powers up with a blurred but watchable picture.
        I have found a repair guide for the 42PW350 TV and luckily the boards from this TV are the same that the ones in my TV (I have attached a summary page if that can help others).
        I have already checked the voltages which do not match for the YSUS board.
        I will now wait until I have some 30J124 or IRG7IC28U from another supplier and fit them in the YSUS.
        I will then checked the boards in diode mode following the guide.
        I will then report what I find.
