What is this SC board component?

I'm trying to fix a panasonic plasma,P50S10B model, its SU was shorted, and caused SC board to fail,IC791,the orange one in the picture(i had a lot of trouble to desolder it with a 40W soldering iron that's why it looks like that) was shorted, couldn't buy it separatedly,I mistakenly bought a board for P42S10B,the 42 inch model,i have that TV also, tested the board and it works, then i inspected each board side to side.

The only difference is 2 resistors which I corrected and this IC791,it's black instead of orange, but the service manual list nothing about this part, can't any find info on it,I want to improvise or modify it so i can use on this TV,when the TV is powered on,panel does nothing and 7 blinks, before i removed IC791 from the original board the screen would go white and rainbow colored.

PN is the same for both boards,TNPA4829.

There are 3 sc boards with that number. They all have a different suffix . I see some capacitor differences and im sure alot of smd differences I cant. Tw2005 may have a lot more info for you.

Re: What is this SC board component?

I did it,it's fixed, almost gave up on this BS,didn't need to replace IC791/IC16791,it's a DC-DC converter, with this repair I gained a lot of experience on service manuals and flowcharts, parts different total:

      Component-------42 inch----------50 inch
      R16845(R485)----86.6k(8662)------76.8k(7682)
      R16831(R831)----61.9k(6192)------71.5k(7152)
      R16832(R832)----73.2k(7322)------71.5k(7152)
      R16919(R919)----7.5k(7501)-------8.25k(8251)
R16870(R870)----68k--------------100k--------------------50 inch board had a 68k,while service manual for P50S10D lists 100k,didn't swap it.
      D16871(D871)----MAZ83300ML(-33)MAZ82400ML(-24)------Zenner diodes,-33 is 33V and -24 is 24V.
      VR16841 VSCN---20k--------------R16880(0)--------------50 inch board doesn't have VSCAN pot.,it's pre-adjusted on R831 in series with R880(0 OHM) and R832.
      4 big inductors.
3 cables that connects SC with SU and SD boards(P42 are white,P50 is black).

Q16001/2 2PG0060000RP B1JADN000006>didn't replace them, couldn't locate it on the board.
      Q16022/3 B1JADP000004 B1JADN000006>same

All voltages are fine,TV has a nice image, pity on the black level that needs panel EEPROM reset to look not gray.
This TV doesn't come with any fans! No wonder SC board fails a LOT,430W(full white) consumption and passive cooling.I installed 4 fans from a P50VT20B on it,should last a good while now.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
        by Hakuu
        Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

        More Details

        TV Model - LG OLED77G1PUA

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

        Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
        by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
        CN6401
        Pin 01 NC
        Pin 02 NC
        Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
        Pin 04 "N/C"
        Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
        Pin 06 "GND": N/C
        Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
        by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...
