    Sharp Aquous LC-60EQ10U

    Hey all,
My tv is on the fritz! After 2- 3 minutes form power on, the picture will develop horizontal lines and fluctuating colors and some screen freeze. I replaced the tconn board but still have the same issue.
I was doing some research and found some discussions about tabs. Not sure what is meant by tabs. Also, some confusing information in one of the threads that side tabs are / are not present. How do I tell if I have tabs? Side tabs or bottom tabs? If they can be removed or if the tv itself is lost?
I will try to upload some photos for a better insight to the picture.

    Any assistance is appreciated!
    Thanks

    Re: Sharp Aquous LC-60EQ10U

OK as promised, I am uploading images of the picture. I am disconnecting the ribbon cables from right to left and will include the image that results from that connection.

    Far Right Result
    Far Right Connection
    Middle Right Result
    Middle Right Connection
    Middle Left Result
    Middle Left Connection
    Far Left Result
    Far Left Connection

As you can see, the picture remains poor and scrambled until the far left connection is removed. There is a good picture on the left side and scrambled on the right side. The horizontal lines remain and protrude into a portion of the good picture on the left of the screen. I am thinking this is only a result of the right side of the screen being scrambled and having some influence on the left of the screen.
This comes back to the tabs. I see how to remove the frame from around the panel. The frame is one piece and has tabs located at different point around the panel. Are the tabs that affect the screen performance located on the screen side and can be accessed once the frame is removed?

Again, any help is appreciated. I am stopping further disassembly until I have some relies. It is still not too late to involve a professional

              Re: Sharp Aquous LC-60EQ10U

Thanks to all for responding and helping to get the thread for me to follow. This is the thread that I had researched earlier that I made a reference to having or not having side tabs. As you read the thread, there is a poster that states the LC-60EQ10U does not have the side tabs. Several posts later, another poster corrects the no side tab poster and states there are side tabs.
I guess I will just have to take the plunge and determine what I need to go forward. One thing for sure is the TV does not function now and by the time I am done, it will either need to be recycled or it will work and last a few more years.
              Thanks

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.

                  Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

                  by Davidhames
                  Hi Guys,

Thought I might try and seek advice on an issue I am having, I got this SONY tv for free that was having some dark greenish colouring, I replaced the T-CON and too my suprise the TV would not boot - I would get 5 blinking red LED lights. I dug deeper into this forum and someone mentioned the fact that it might be the tabs that connect to the LDC panel, and peeling them off should bring back a clear image. I tried this on the side of the T-con that was causing the tv to not boot when plugged in (left) and wow a perfect picture and was booting up fine! All was well and good...

                  Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...

                  Vizio M60-C3 Left Edge problem
                  by Pinky Deepak
I have a M60-C3 where the left edge has started showing issues as seen in the picture attached. Along with this, I also noticed some darkening on the left half of the screen which went away after I left the TV unplugged. i initially thought it was the led backlight that was wearing out but looks like something to do w the TCONN board. I searched this forum but couldn't find anyone else seeing this issue. most of them were LH/RH completely gone. any insights or guidance is appreciated.

Here's a video of both the issues: https://youtu.be/hMqc760nB3o

Vizio D55un-E1 COF Lifting Tabs - Not!
                  by rblack711
Relatively new to TV repair - as you will see. Rescued this TV from the curb. No backlights, but I could see an image on LCD with flashlight, so suspected bad LED strips. When I got to the part of lifting the LCD off the frame, it was stuck a little bit from some tape used to hold down a thin layer of foam around the frame. I saw 8 tabs on each side of the LCD that I haven't seen on any of the 3 TVs that I have taken apart before. I immediately thought, wow the engineers that designed this were thinking about the serviceman when they put these lift tabs on here - good for them. So I started yanking...
