Samsung UE40h6200 Logo then Blank (dead flash?)

Good day folks. I thought I'd ask for a bit of advice on this telly, though I'm pretty sure there's no fixing it. The problem is as follows: the logo shows up and then.....nothing. Just a blank screen. Had a look inside and immediately noticed that someone had been there before me, as IC901, the EEPROM, had obvious signs of soldering. The guy who brought it in didn't mention this and as such, I don't know if that was a repair attempt or it worked for a while before quitting again.

I was able to find the EEPROM and SPI files and tried flashing both of them (the SPI chip being IC1304 tucked slightly under the CPU heatsink), but to no avail, it didn't change anything. True, I didn't have new chips on hand to try, so I don't know if the chips themselves are to blame, despite flashing fine. Recently, whenever doing this sort of thing, I always start off with a new IC to immediately rule out the possibility of a faulty chip - it's probably overkill, but they don't cost a fortune anyway. I didn't have the necessary ones on hand in this case, so I reflashed the original ones.

I distinctly remember having a similar problem in the past with one of these BN41-02156A boards whereby the flash chip dies or goes bad in some way and they're beyond repair without the proper tools and software, neither of which I have, especially since it's a BGA chip and the costs/effort would outweigh the price of a new board. It's like it's not loading the "operating system", since I think of the flash as the "hard disk" and if that goes bad, you only get a logo and then the TV sits there not knowing what to do next.

Speaking of which: my local supplier carries several types of these boards. Despite all being listed as BN41-02156A, I couldn't find one that matches the telly's model EXACTLY, but some come pretty close, for instance they may be for UE50 instead of UE40, or stuff like that, so what exactly should I be looking out for here ? Despite having done board replacements before, I can never remember what exactly is important: the model of the TV or the panel model....ideally both, obviously, but that's not always possible. For instance, I once ordered a T-con board by model rather than by panel and it didn't work. I sent it back and changed it for one that matched the panel but not the model exactly and it DID work....I thought I just blew some money there, but I got lucky

What do you guys think ? Pictures are blurry AF, I know but I took them in a hurry and should be good enough to get an idea.

You're not new to this so we can assume you've done the torch test ?

Oops by blank screen I guess you mean you still have backlight ?

These failing chips sometimes respond to a blast of cold air so I would try that first to see if that is the real problem.

Yes, the backlight is on all the time - can see it through the holes in the back of the chassis.

I've been wanting to get a can of air or freeze spray for a while now but never got around to actually getting one, so I can't do that right at this very moment sadly. I was curious to see if others have had this problem, at least remotely, and if/how they managed to fix it besides replacing the board

I try myself to fix the same issue by flashing both spi chips but didn't work. The problem is the emmc that has to be replaced/reprogrammed.

4 red flash led 65X950G boot Sony and android logo but then black
              by Ihandyrepair
              HI guys

I got here a Sony 65X950G - I tried to find any repairs guides for this model but not many online

              here is the issue
I have Sony and android logo. but then 4 led red flash lights front of the tv

I have 3.3v ref. 12v reg then T con 12v when I press the power on button
but then I get black screen and 4 red flash light at the front LED
but I get 3 led flash on the LED driver board.

I check that few X900F or C YouTube repairs, seems that if you have 4 led red flash it could be due of LED black light error
              so I tried...

[Help] Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 (DA0LS3MBAF0) – 25Q80DVN1G Flash Is All FF, USB-C PD Stuck at 5V
              by ekozeko333
              Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers

Thinkpad t480s, completely dead after BIOS flash using CH341A programmer
              by what_1282105
Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....

HP Zbook Flash Screen Logo question
              by Yolojays
              Hello everybody,

I cleared the Bios password on a HP ZBook 15u G3 Laptop (i5-6200U) using HPUnlocker tool. My question is, the laptop has a Custom Boot Logo and can't find a way to restore it to the original HP logo. Anyone by chance know a way to do it?

              What I tried and checked:
-No custom logo option in bios
-updating the bios did not help
-Hp client management library method id not work
              -ereplogo utility di not work

              Thanks in advanced....
