    Samsung UN46C5000 Washed out

Hi folks. Let me 1st thank everyone here! I've learned a ton from reading these forums - my 3 current TV's all thank you VERY MUCH

I got so cocky that when a co-worker showed me a washed out Samsung UN46C5000 I gasped "I know that fault!" Hehehe, yeah shoulda known to keep my mouth shut. Anyway, I figured this was a bad gamma chip on the TCON. Upon cracking open the back I found it is a MAX9694 Gamma chip on the TCON rather than the common AS15-F I've replaced before. VGMA voltages look ok with a nice downward progression as does the AVDD voltage.

I've tried the power down/disconnect of a single panel tab/power up at a time, and each time I still get a washed out full screen, with only half a picture of course.

I've also taken this thing into the service menu and given it a factory reset in case someone got there before me to no avail.

I ordered a replacement MAX9694 (before voltage checks of course - doh! at least it was cheap) and I'm loath to replace that QFN package chip with the voltages looking as they are! VGMA voltages and pics in next post.

Suggestions and thoughts are most welcome!
    Cheers!

Ignore the banding of the screenshots.. Camera artifacts.

Those voltages go down but not very evenly.

Look really close on the T-CON board for Voltage test point with the name VCOM, may be VCOM is not present, it should be around 6~8VDC.
Look to be at FPC_Left connector test pad bottom right.
You can see test pad labels listing at the top right corner of the T-CON board.
