60PA6500 - Same old problem, no picture but sound

    Hello all!

Been doing some research and I can't find anything that covers what I'm looking for, besides this:
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18542&

I have a LG 60PA6500 that currently turns on and has no picture but sound.

I'll explain my situation. I'm a college student looking to fix this broken TV - I have resources for all the DIY I may need, from reflow soldering to oscilloscopes and infinite amount of testing equipment and supplies. This can be fixed, but I need to figure out what's wrong on it - That, I don't have much experience in.

    Here's some additional information:

    1. The control logic board does not flash at all - the 5V bus is getting power. The main board has a constant red light when I power it on. Can't find any information about if the logic board has no light!

    2. Where are schematics? Are there none? I feel like there's gotta be some service manuals or something -- All I can find is for the main board, which I would love to have for the other boards...

    3. I have replaced the left hand side (top and bottom) buffer boards, also tried per a forum/website to disconnect the Y and Z from the power supply -- no dice.

    4. Measured voltages -- Everything looks good with 5V, VA, VS --

    5. Obviously the fuses are all good to go... (Including ones that don't necessarily look like regular fuses)

Where to start? I'm thinking/hoping if I can just replace the control logic board it'll fix everything but that might not be the case...

You have stable VA,Vs. Have you tried to force test patterns?

I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I'm not sure how to force a test pattern! Couldn't find the exact details for this model. How do I do this?

      **EDIT**
      I found this:
"OK, on the CTRL board you can see a pair of holes on the bottom right hand of the board marked EXT AUTO GEN.

Turn the TV power off (unplug the set)
Place a wire link between these holes
Disconnect the LVDS cable between the main board and control board
Plug the TV in...do the test patterns cycle continuously?"

      Will test and come back.

Hi all, went ahead and tried to connect the EXT pins, disconnect the main blue connector (as shown on the right), and see if I get a test pattern. No dice.

          Thoughts?

What might be some standard FETs or areas that go bad?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
              by TR103
              Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
              - sound and backlight, but no picture
              - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
              - it keeps rebooting
              - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
              - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
              by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...
