Sharp LC-80LE642U - HDMI issues, analog works fine.

So I have a 80" Sharp that I got from a client. The HDMI ports stopped working, they called us, we replaced it with a 75" Samsung. I took the Sharp home.

I got the Sharp home ID'd the board (DKEYMF953FM06, Version H), ordered a main board off eBay and put it in and I got a lamp failure code. Hmmm, closer inspection I see the board is a Version A. Seller used a stock photo of board and accepted return. Ordered another board, confirmed Version H. Got board, put it in, same lamp error code. Took it out, sent it back, seller accepted, put the original board back in and for whatever reason I saw the spinning thing show up from my Apple TV, I put it back together and hung it up on the wall, no questions asked.

A couple months go by and one day I'm working from home playing some music and my photo screen saver from Apple TV is on until I look up all of a sudden no picture but sound is still coming from the receiver. Hmmm ok looks like HDMI on fritz again. I unplugged it and was busy for a while so it just sat for a couple weeks, maybe a month. I plugged it back in one day for the hell of it, APPLE TV SHOWS UP! YAY!. I put on In The Army Now and within 20 minutes black again. I picked up the remote (the tv remote) and hit volume down and the volume on the receiver went down! That means the CEC over HDMI is still working. So the ports are not blown. It MAY be software related, possibly even be HDCP related?

Since then someone mentioned on another forum that I should blind flash the firmware on the board I get from eBay to factory and go in and reset the service menu to 80" parameters. I have been in the service menu and that's some serious stuff. I have the service manual and it describes these steps but before I buy one; I want to try to blind flash the board I have. Since I believe this problem very well MAY (I know its a big "MAY") be software.

In the service menu (Page 5-1) I see this blind flash procedure explained but Im having trouble accessing the files for it. I believe they are acquired from the Sharp service website to which I don't have access. The files I need are 1) OKLA_LE857_xxx.USB & 2) OKLAMxxx.SMB. I can only get "OKLA_LE857_153.UVP" from the Sharp TV website but it has a different file extension and will not boot from USB upon holding Power key + AC power connection.

Could anyone help me access these files? If I end up replacing the board, it looks like I will need these files regardless so I'm dead in the water until I can find someone who has or has access to them that is willing to share. Thanks for your time! This is too nice of a set to toss in the trash!

Apparently this is not publicly available. A Sharp authorized technician would need to login to some sort of portal to download it from what I understand. Maybe there is someone like that here?

Im still here! haha I got the email notification. I still have the TV but it is not in use right now. I had been using it all the time via VGA port because I strictly use home theater PC so it worked out.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...

                Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
                by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
                CN6401
                Pin 01 NC
                Pin 02 NC
                Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
                Pin 04 "N/C"
                Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
                Pin 06 "GND": N/C
                Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                by Hakuu
                Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?
                by canadaboy25
I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...
